Community works / Re: Translated iM@S News

My Japanese is far from perfect so me helping out directly with translating wouldn't be ideal. Nonetheless I'd like to help out in any way if needed.

Mine's 905189063. Don't expect me to accept any requests right away. Still working on figuring out the interface.

Fumika appearance. 'Nuff said

I'll admit, the music isn't my particular favorite either, nor the fact that it's a mobile game that's...Well, a mobile game. But I still enjoy the series as it is a concept not yet done in the series before (Ryou and iM@S 2 Jupiter aside) and I do hope it does become more successful overtime, although, sadly, I don't think it'll be as popular as CG or ML. The concerts, however, are something I would like to see. Seeing the voice actors perform on stage and IRL is what I love most about the series.

Really liked this episode too. I wasn't really too big a fan of DEKoration nor too interested in most of the Passion girls but I definitely liked the "sister" character development between Rika, Mika, and Miria
One thing I'm glad they kinda phased out was the whole gloomy grey backdrops of the previous episodes. Understandably, the plot is still in the point of "Mishiro screws over 346 effect" but there wasn't as much background undertones that presented itself previously, which is nice in that hopefully the plot's gonna take a dramatic shift soon.

Nice to meet you, Ken! Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay. There's several guides laying around for OFA and 2 from what I've seen so you've come to the right place. That, and many people around here are willing to help you out if you seek their aid. Other than that, again welcome aboard and here's to having another person here on the forums! Your YouTube channel sounds interesting, btw. I'll give it a look later on :3

You're really good with Zelda.  I was about to throw in the towel in the last match, but I got lucky.  I heard your voice, but it wasn't super deep.  Was that intentional?  Or did I hear yukibro's instead?
To be honest, that was the first time I actually used Zelda seriously (not really serious, if you consider how much I spammed her teleporting shenanigans :3) as before last night I would just use her once in a while because I didn't feel like playing as anyone else at that particular moment. But yeah, you put up a good fight there. ggwp m8. As for my "super deep" voice, I think you were confusing me with Yukibro. Like Dean and I said, I accidentally Batman'd too hard during puberty. :P

Right. As much as I would love a Mizuki episode, they've already put out Kaede and Nana for their respective categories, needs moar Passion.

General chatter / Re: Google+ to Sever Ties with Youtube.

Now, the real question is, will this mean that YouTube will stop using Google's search engine to provide me with stupid "recommended" videos that I've never heard of in my life? If so, then I'm totally excited. If not, then I'm still just as equally excited.

Honestly, I wish I woulda known about iM@S since it first debuted back in 2005. (but then again, don't we all? :3) Especially since the 10th anniv. concert, and the serious urge to want to have been able to go see it, it'd be amazing to see the series and the girls (both the voice actors and in-game girls) grow over the past 10 years.

I learned of the series about....3 years ago, was playing a game series called Ace Combat, also made by Namco. One day I decided to look in the online store to see if there was anything in-game I wanted to buy. Turns out there wasn't anything specific. Then I saw a bunch of stuff titled "iDOLM@STER." Curious as to what this was, it was nothing more than a few in-game aircraft theme'd with the girls' image on them. (IIRC there's a wiki article about it) Having saw this, it piqued my curiosity. So I looked it up on YouTube and stuff, and like most others, saw tons of gameplay videos of the girls on stage and what-not. But I took notice of three particular girls I didn't see in the Ace Combat collaboration. Them being Miki, Takane, and Hibiki. (The collab and Ace Combat game's release was prior to the three's appearance in the series back in the first part of 1st vision) So naturally, I was curious as to who these three girls were, and sooner or later I discovered the anime. Watched it. Loved it. As time went on, I began to learn and read more about the series through the music, manga, YouTube, etc. and then a few months ago I came across this place and the rest is history.

The thing I love most about iM@S? Well, I find the series, IMO, defined in one word. "Dream." It's an amazing thing that I wish I could experience every moment of it from beginning to its inevitable end. The series lives in a world full of happiness and fantasy that pretty much resembles what I find to be a dream. I know someday the dream will end, as does the nature of all dreams, and I will be deeply saddened to know that my favorite series of all time will fade away, but nonetheless it's a great experience that I don't have a regret upon experiencing.

And I really like the focus on Kaede on this episode. It just doesn't show her mindset as a idol, but also underscores Miss Mishiro's intentions for the company: It seems that she wants to turn it into a soulless versficator, no regard for the much-needed sentimentality and dreaminess associated with the arts, nor any respect for the fans that give them capital and support. It doesn't help that the new office for the Cinderella Project looks like some underground bunker for a resistance organization, with all its concrete walls, as if the analogy is already clear to all of us.

But yes, I like this episode myself.
Indeed. I liked the fact that it showed Kaede as more than just another character to show in the anime, and how it added more depth to the plot which helped elaborate and potentially foreshadow a coming of events.

Yes, Koi Kaze is an insert, and it isn't just some 5 second backdrop either :3

Kaede has made an appearance for more than 5 seconds. I'm contempt now.

As long as she isn't a Kuroi copypasta, I'm okay...Nothing against Kuroi, he's cool and all, but still...
