General chatter / Re: Ever have a dream about iDOLM@STER?

"Nii-chan! Mami wants to make kissy-kissy with Nii-chan too!" - Mami

"Nii-chan, Nii-chan! Look here! Has Ami gotten any bigger? Just wait, Ami's gonna get boobies like Mikimiki one day!" - Ami

That may be the greatest in-dream twins quote ever.

I've never really cared for R18+ doujins/fanart anyway. (it really makes me cringe/get nightmares whenever I see some of my favorite girls get soiled like that)

I can relate with you on that. It just kinda makes me think, "Why?"
Besides, Makoto is MINE. The only other person I'll allow her to be with is Ryo.

Besides Perfect Sun, I play a lot of beat-'em-up style games, like King of Fighters, Street Fighter, Dead or Alive, and Tekken. Don't know if Super Smash Bros. Brawl counts, but I play that often.

Also, I don't know if this is the right board to do this, but I'm looking for a good, 3D style, browser-based, free RPG. Doesn't have to be MMO, I probably won't interact with other players anyways, but it seems all RPGs are MMORPGs. So.
But I REALLY want to find and play a good one. I've tried downloading Aura Kingdom because I want to play that so badly, but it just won't download. Gyaah. So now I'm on the hunt for some browser-based ones I can play without having to download a hundred-thousand things.

Sub groups can't make a subbed version if a copy of the movie isn't available... That is unless someone is brave and willing enough to record the whole movie while in theatre and make subs from that. It happened with the Suzumiya Haruhi movie anyway...

Oh, right, that makes sense now that I'm hearing (reading?) someone else say it. Type it. Whatever.

Guess it'll be a while. I am so willing to wait, though. Everyone seems to love it. :D

Maybe a little longer for a disc release.

I'm going to assume you meant a tangible, physical disc, and therefore announce that I watch online on sites like crunchyroll or gogoanime. You've probably never heard of the latter, but it works.
Do you think it'd be any quicker for subs to appear online or in physical form?

Excuse me if I'm way off, I know nothing about subbing, honestly.

Does anyone have any idea when it will be subbed? I can't watch raws. I'm guessing it'll take at least four-five months.

General chatter / Re: Seiyuu thread!
« on: January 25, 2014, 06:25:10 pm »
IM@S seiyuu aside (they're all great, aren't they), I really just enjoy good voice acting. I'm also a bit of the seiyuu idol fan so I enjoy seeing some of the female seiyuu perform, especially if they can sing well.

I guess lately I've been hearing a lot of Kana Hanazawa, who is just everywhere this season. Sometimes she's very good, but sometimes...not as good. I dig her Tsukimi from Kuragehime the best. Oh wait, I guess she's an IM@S seiyuu!

iM@S seiyuus are all amazing. I want to hear more roles Yuko Sanpei has done, because I think she has the potential to do some amazing roles. Not that she's not good as Ryo.
Haruka Tomatsu too. Actually, all the Dearly Stars voice actors are amazing. I like them a lot. Especially when you realize that, just like how Shouta is also Kirito, Ai is also Asuna. Like, whoa. That's talent.

I have a soft spot for people like Eriko Nakamura because they have enjoyable personalities. So along those lines I also really like Tomoko Kaneda, because she's hilarious. I think Renge from Airmaster is still my favorite Kanetomo Sensei role.

I totally agree with seiyuus with great personalities. From what I've seen, all the iM@S seiyuus are pretty funny, but Hiromi Hirata and Akiko Hasegawa are just great. Eir Kitamura and Asami Imai are in a singing unit together, and they are SO CUTE just interacting and having fun with each other. Eri Kitamura's very good-natured. I don't think I've ever heard Tomoko Kaneda. I should give her a try.

The best newcomer this season I heard is Eriko Matsui in Mikakunin de Shinkoukei as Benio. I thought it was almost like a younger Shizuka Itou, which is pretty impressive.

I think a lot of the seiyuus in Attack on Titan were newbies, or at least not very well-known. But they were all phenomenal. :D

As for being idols, I like Maaya Sakamoto, but really enjoy Sphere lately.

Maaya Sakamoto's really great. Apparently she's married. So is Hiromi Hirata. It's like, "Since when were you married?! I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAL!!!"
Also I've never heard of Sphere, but I should check them out. It's weird, because I tend to look for animes that have my favorites in them, and then I hear others that I learn I really like, and the pattern continues. I guess it's because the most important thing to me is the quality of the voice acting. I don't like it when voices sound...one-dimensional. It's like...have you ever heard Japanese Kirito versus English Kirito? Japanese Kirito is like, "If I die in the game...I'll die in real life... *slightly fearful voice*" And English Kirito is like, "IF I DIE IN THIS GAME...I'll DIE in REAL LIFE!!! *over-dramatic voice*"
Does that make sense?

I feel like I ranted so much. XDDD Oh well.

General chatter / Seiyuu thread!
« on: January 23, 2014, 04:36:38 am »
So no one else started a seiyuu thread! And who better to do that than me, little miss Newbie with 7,000 favorite seiyuus I could rant for hours about? As a warning, this opening post WILL be long, because I love me some seiyuu ranting.

Applies to English and Japanese voice actors. Who are your favorites? What are some roles you liked them in? When did you first realize how gorgeous their voice was, and how desperately you wanted to befriend them just so you could hear them talk to you?

As for me, my favorite English voice actors are Vic Mignogna and Todd Haberkorn. I tend to think Japanese voice actors are better than English ones, but I really like these two. Especially Vic Mignogna. I actually worked up the courage to email him once and he responded to me. Like, we went back and forth a bit. It was awesome.

Japanese voice actors...there's a lot.
Female: Eri Kitamura at the top of the list, followed by Hiromi Hirata, Yuu Kobayashi, Yui Horie, Yukari Tamura, Chiwa Saito, and Yuka Iguchi.
Male: Miyu Irino and Akira Ishida are tied for the top spot, followed by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Hiro Shimono. Oh yeah, and Yuki Kaji.

My favorite roles by these voice actors are as follows:
Vic Mignogna--Gotta say Fai from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles.
Todd Haberorn--Death the Kid.
Eri Kitamura--MAKOTO~ *impaled* Seriously though, I can't even pick a favorite. Everything she does is PERFECT.
Hiromi Hirata: Honestly, I love her as Alme Noten in The Book of Bantorra. And Makoto. And Maggie from R.O.D was perfect too.
Yuu Kobayashi--Katsuragi from Senran Kagura takes the cake.
Yui Horie--Gonna go with Yukiho.
Yukari Tamura--Fear from C3.
Chiwa Saito--Again, everything she does is magnificent, but I love her as Anita from R.O.D.
Yuka Iguchi--Sovereignty from C3. There is no hesitation. Sovereignty was the best role I've ever heard her in.
Miyu Irino--Either Tomoharu from Asura Cryin', or Colio Tonies from Book of Bantorra.
Akira Ishida--OH GOSH EVERYTHING HE DOES IS PERFECT. His voice sends shivers down my spine, I'm not even kidding. It's gorgeous. So gorgeous, in fact, that he voices a woman. No joke. Julia in ICE. Seriously though, I adore him as Karasu in Xenoglossia. That was the role that first made me fall in love with him like him as a seiyuu.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka--FREAKING KIRITO IS ALSO SHOUTA. HOW DOES HE DO IT. I love him as Kirito, though.
Yuki Kaji--Eren. Eren is his best role. Eren will always be his best role. I'm kidding.

Anyways!

What about you all? Feel free to go on an on about your favorites like I did. Are there any shows out there with my voice acting babies in them that I haven't seen that you think I should? Are you looking for shows by your favorites that I or others might have seen?

General chatter / Re: Ever have a dream about iDOLM@STER?
« on: January 23, 2014, 04:11:23 am »
You know, I don't even care how dead this thread is, I'm bringing it back to life.

I've had a few REALLY weird dreams about the iM@S girls. Like...REALLY weird. Not THAT kind of weird.

So I had this one where me and a bunch of other people had to play this weird Alice and Wonderland game, but it was like the Tim Burton version, not the kid-friendly happy version. We could select characters and go kill stuff. It was weird. So after all of the people had chosen their characters, we went outside to this world that looked like it came out of a Legend of Zelda game (like Phantom Hourglass or Wind Waker kind of world)--lots of grass and mushrooms. We started sneaking around to find something or whatever, I don't even remember.
And here's the iM@S part.
Suddenly I turned into Makoto. The Xenoglossia Makoto, not the iM@S Makoto. And I had to sneak around a corner and carry an old man to safety on my back. It was really weird. Then the dream just kinda...ended. That was my first iM@S dream.

My second dream is INSANE. SO insane, in fact, that I'm going to tell you the entirety of it, even though there was only one part that featured iM@S.

So first I was Spongebob, and I accused Patrick of murder or something, so me and Mr. Krabs and Squidward ambushed Patrick at a WalMart and beat him up. But it turns out Patrick didn't do it, so we let him go. And then I switched clothes with another Spongebob, who was apparently the REAL Spongebob.
Next, I was myself, and I ran into a friend in the jewelry section and we chatted.
The iM@S part comes here. I somehow turned into Makoto (the iM@S one this time) and wound up married to my friend's OC, Cody. And we were just kinda hanging out in the house. And I think I vacuumed or something. The next part of this section was really weird...like NSFW weird. We WERE married... Thankfully, right then, the setting changed!
This time I was me. And I had just won a game show. And my prize was cubed fruit, a pipe bomb, and a grenade. What happened after that is a long story, but in short, I couldn't figure out how to stop the bombs from blowing up, so I just fed my cat the cubed fruit and woke my mom up to help me handle the bombs. It ended there.

So, nothing entirely iM@S yet, but I've had dreams with characters in them. I'm pretty sure I've had more, but I can't think of any right now.

On a side note, I had an Attack on Titan dream once too. I was Mikasa, and Eren turned into a Titan, but he was eating people now so we had to flee on boats. We fled to a magical island where there were shelves stacked with bakery treats. We all dined on cupcakes until Eren arrived, at which time we paused to kill him. I assume we did. My dream ended before I could find out.

My dreams are SO weird. You have no idea.

General chatter / Re: What Anime Are You Watching Now?
« on: January 23, 2014, 01:04:13 am »
I came back to say that yesterday, I started watching The Book of Bantorra/Tatakau Shisho. I don't think it's well-known, since I'd never seen it before until yesterday when researching roles Hiromi Hirata has had. But I really love it so far. So much so that in two days I've gotten to episode 16 out of 27. ELEVEN MORE EPISODES TO GO, AND THEN I CAN VISIT THE TROPES PAGE!

The plot is awesome, the characters are brilliant, and voice actors are sublime, and the art is magnificent. However, there is one thing that really bothers me. And that is... THEY KEEP KILLING ALL MY BABIES!! All the characters that I really LOVE and who are voiced by my top favorite voice actors are DYING! Left and right! Like, what is this?! I LIKED HER! KEEP HER ALIVE FOR PETE'S SAKE!
At the same time, I'm happy, because all the characters I hate keep getting killed too. I'm yelling at my computer screen every episode because someone is dead.
*sigh*

Well, I don't have any images to dump, but happy birthday Ohime-chin~! :D

Me: So how old are you today, Takane?
Takane: You are inquiring about my age? ...why, that is a secret, of course. Fufu~.
Me: ...I should have known.

General chatter / Re: Currently listening to...?
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:48:28 pm »
I feel like posting here.

Currently listening to all the Namassuka Special CDs (except 02, because I can't seem to find it anywhere), Asura Cryin' no Theme by Tajiri Mitsutaka (thanks to liza94 for helping me discover that song, it's gorgeous), and various other songs by various other artists.

The WHOLE Owari no Hoshi no LOVE SONG album by Nagi Yanagi and Jun Maeda is PERFECT. I'm not even joking.

Also, I love listening to Eri Kitamura. RE; Story, Miracle Gliders, and Destiny are really good, and I'm listening to Hana (the first ending theme for CubedxCursedxCurious), Colorful Days (Yachiyo from WORKING!!'s character song; not to be confused with the iDOLM@STER Colorful Days), and Beautiful Wish (Seira from Mermaid Melody's character song).
Corpse Party's whole soundtrack is awesome: Shangri-La, Hana no Saku Basho, and Hoshikuzu no Ring by Asami Imai, Pandora no Yoru, Tsukigen, and Confutatis no Inori by ARTERY VEIN (Asami Imai and Eri Kitamura), and Hanabi by Yumi Hara feat. Asami Imai.

That's a lot of music, but I have a playlist of those songs I listen to EVERY DAY, so it counts, right?

« on: January 20, 2014, 04:28:51 pm »
In the last CD-Drama, she named her crab cushion after Azusa! :)

That's called "being adorable", my friend.
She has her quirks, but don't they all?
I mean, being in love with/dating/WANTING TO "BECOME ONE" WITH a robot is pretty weird too. Also Yukiho is lesbian, I swear.
Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that. I mean, Makoto's a jerk. I can try to deny it, but she's a total jerk. A cute jerk, but still a jerk.

It's funny, because I created a Xenoglossia board for the purpose of Xenoglossia, but we're the only ones talking about it, and we're doing it on my welcome thread. XD Not that I mind. I don't mind.

Yes, I have read your fanfiction about "-dere" tests! :)  And I think Chihaya-Master is a kamidere. 8)

Oh hey, you recognized me! XD I saw your avatar (and your username) over on Wattpad after "meeting" you here, and I realized, "Wait a minute! They're the same person! WHOA."
It's cool how life works like that.
But yes. It was impossible for me to NOT write about them being -dere types after I realized that they all have one.
Chihaya has her kamidere moments. B) There are so many yanderes in that show. They should have called it "Idolmaster: Operation Yandere". Like, there's at least three.
Does Del Donna count? Let's see, she started Turiavita and killed her husband and I'm guessing she commands Karasu who is technically the one who organizes everything (I love him so much, I'm serious, I'm sorry), but I don't think she did that for the sake of a loved one. She probably did it because she just wanted to complete the Mischling project, but that isn't a loved one. So I'm going to say no. Which means there are at least three and a half.
I REALLY need a life away from this show.

But it was so funny! :)

It WAS funny. I was having a mini celebration.
"HAHA LOSER, SUFFER!!"
But he still didn't get hurt, which makes me angry.
He should have died instead of Karasu.

Iori-Master is the luckiest.
Being Chihaya-Master is suffering.

I agree with you 100%.
Or maybe Haruka's luckiest, but she didn't really do anything wrong because she's the main character and main characters are always perfect.
I feel bad for Chihaya though, even if she did make me angry sometimes.
They all made me angry sometimes.
I strongly disliked Makoto until Episode 13, AKA Makoto's Angst Episode.

I just finished watching Project ICE. Honestly, the only reason I picked it up was because it had characters voiced by my voice acting babies, Akira Ishida and Eri Kitamura.
Both of their characters die. Like, really? I liked them.
It was REALLY weird and confusing. But I actually kinda liked it.

Ah, by "little short things" you meant the DVD specials! Yes, I've seen some of them! In my opinion, Makoto was more
hilarious in the end. :)

"You like crabs very much..."
"Of course I do! Crabs are my friends!"

What I just..."

And don't forget about the funniest picture from these specials:

Children, watch where are you going to while talking. :)

MY BABY YOU'RE SO CUTE MY GOSH <3
Makoto is hilarious PERIOD. Just because she's the only sane man. But she's such a kuudere too.
Everyone in that show is a -dere of some kind, actually. XD Except maybe Azusa.

Oh, Chihaya, don't you know it's dangerous to not look where you're going? You'll worry Yukiho.
Just kidding, Yukiho deserves it for betraying Haruka. No. I'm joking. Yukiho already had karma catch up to her. And she repented in the end. It's alright.

This is completely unrelated to the shorts, but I feel like the only character that didn't get his/her just desserts for doing something wrong was Hibiki Saku. Like, seriously. He almost destroyed the world, and the worst that happened to him was that he got scared.
Makoto got fired for messing up when retrieving Hiems' core.
Iori got replaced multiple times for messing up in Nebula.
Chihaya nearly killed everyone to get to Imber. She died because of it.
Azusa died for ignoring Makoto. Which is pretty harsh.
My baby Karasu died for being in charge of Turiavita.
Del Donna died for being Del Donna.
Yukiho got shot by Auryn for betraying Haruka.
Haruka herself got depressed for being too gosh darn perfect being naive and losing Imber.
Do you see the pattern here?

I'm lazy, so just pretend I quoted all that here. Even though it isn't hard. Why am I so weird? XD

You're right, those ones DO suit her a bit better. That's weird.
I applaud the people who chose which girl would sing which song.

Have you seen the little short things? I'm assuming you have. XD I haven't seen all of them. But I'm gonna be totally honest and admit that was my favorite one was the swimsuit one. Just because Makoto was hilarious at the beginning.

Makoto is my babby.
