Something funny I've read from Twitter (sources unknown, so may not be true), but apparently the ending song for this episode was made at the request of the Anim@s director.

He also requested something along the lines of "it HAS to be the kind of song sung by Makoto in her white one-piece dress! I won't accept anything else."

What can I say.
The director of the anime said he loves Makoto way before the anime even went into production, and he sure played with his favorites in this episode.
Looking at the credits, he's involved in this episode much more than other episodes too.

Story development wise, there is only minor progression (Touma getting a tiny hint about Kuroi's scheming ways and something about Chihaya's family), but no problem, because this is a OMG CUTE MOEMOE episode, finely crafted by a man who loves Makoto, for people who love Makoto.

A weapon of mass moestruction.
A scalpel in the part of the brain that governs all control over reason.

I actually can't see my monitor right now because I'm teary eyed with the sheer cuteness of the episode.

As the scenario writer for the last episode wrote on Twitter, episode 16 will be where the story for the second season really takes motion...
And indeed, its the first time 765 Pro really confronts 961 Pro. The first on 961's hit-list? Hibiki.

Will Hibiki survive their onslaught!?
Will she make it out alive!?

Actually this episode happens to focus on the relationship between Hibiki and Inumi (and to a broader extent, her "family"), and they do it well.
The contrast between Chihaya's flashback in the intro is another nice point to take note.

Also, Hamuzo is the bestest rodent ever.

Really looking forward to the movie.

Kasumi really needs her own episode, and probably a spinoff with Chosuke as the protagonist too.
Despite not having any plot advancement, this is currently my favourite episode.

I won't mind more episodes like this, the plot can develop in the second season.

Also I said this on Twitter, but Chosuke reminded me of Renton. A lot.

Because the episode 7 discussion is not up yet:

Chosuke is the best brother ever, seriously the episode seems like his even though its supposed to be a Yayoi episode.
Also Yakinikuman in official media for the first time is cool too, and is voiced by Kushida Akira as expected :D

Also ののワ appearing for the first time on TV.

Small notes and what not:

- Listening to the drama CDs in the order of Ai, Eri then Ryo makes the most sense. I did so the other way around and was confused as heck, since they're all connected in some way.

- Also, reading the bonus story in the manga before listening to the drama CD is a good idea, since the events in the CD seem to happen after the bonus story.
 (Except for Eri, I guess.)

Also I had a hard time taking the CDs out before realizing that the cardboard has flaps for easy access...

Posting Nekopuchi-san's Pixiv page, because he's a pretty cool guy when it comes to Makoto.

THE iDOLM@STER 2 / Re: The Idolm@ster 2 Guide Book

Its not a guide book by any means, more or less a fan book.
It's like the "guide" for the first game, but much more watered down.

I have no idea why, but "A field of flowers in summer" in the screen cap is making me smile like crazy.

I'm hoping on 876 making a cameo appearance in the anime. The 876 fans really do deserve it.

The OP was so sweet my stomach hurts.

Also Hamuzo probably has a better understanding of stage direction than I do.

Anime series starts in about 4 hours on TBS.

Shaking with anticipation.

Ain't sure if this should be here, but Chihaya was singing Aoi Tori on a morning entertainment news show.
I was pretty damn surprised, but then I realized it was only an intro for Pianeet's segment.

I like hamburger needs to be turned into a musical, imo.

Also very cute.
