Maybe Variable Tunes has something to do with harmonies??? To my knowledge at least, all the ingame songs were sung in unison instead of harmony so maybe it allows for different kinds of notes with minimal recording

Actually, I think a lot of people's are like that too. So many good songs to choose from
For me, my favorites are always changing, though some that have always stuck around were shiny smile, Watashi-tachi, Orange Sapphire, dear... and recently I've really been loving It's Show

I can understand being mostly an observer and an introvert since I'm the same way. I became a fan and joined the forum a year ago and I still have less than 40 posts

I have to agree with the advice. There were some idols I didn't really care for or even disliked after reading about them on the wiki, but they completely changed my mind when I listened to them sing.
