THE iDOLM@STER Stella Stage / Re: Stella Stage Spoilers - Discussion
« on: January 03, 2018, 02:39:28 pm »
Been playing since SP but I have never seen Kuroi as horrible but more to stupid, harsh and egoistic. He is just too fixated on Takagi. All the past rival got harsh treatment from Kuroi but he is really soft on Shika though he is quite a horrible father.

I DID notice he was a lot easier on her than he was on Project Fairy in SP and Jupiter in 2. But aside from that,
like I said, I have no doubts that he sucks at the whole parenting thing. I just enjoy amusing myself with stupid mental images and making Kuroi look even dumber than he actually is.

Really wish my bud hadn't spoiled this stuff for me before I even got the game, and if he weren't in Guam RN he'd have a foot up his rear. But might as well contribute.

As contrived and nonsensical the ability to produce Shika is from a legal and business standpoint, I honestly find I don't much care and am honestly looking forward to it.
Just. This kid is so dang sweet and adorable holy heck.

Also, despite the fact that realistically Kuroi is probably a horrible parent, I find the mental image of him being a super-doting and maybe actually good dad to be way more amusing?
Like I'm just picturing him being in a screaming row with Takagi over the phone while wearing a little frilly hat because he had only just finished having a tea party with a four-year-old Shika and the mental image is so absurd I can't help but chuckle a little.

Haven't been able to play as much as most people (got the game a few days late and my work schedule is hell), but I've managed to S-rank with Ritsuko and I've got a good chunk of the costumes and accessories unlocked. Holy heck is this game leaps and bounds better than PS. Like I'm having just as much fun with it as I did OFA, though I will say the lack of commus does sadden me a little as well (even with my horrible, horrible Japanese I still enjoy them).

And Shika holy heck what a cutiepie, protect this little dear (ha) at all costs. Even though I know it won't be likely given her deal (jerk friend accidentally spoiled me on her plot stuff before I even got the game), I find her so sweet and endearing and I'd really like to see her in a future game.

Honestly I'm kind of waiting on the six major lives for the time being, wanna rank a few more of the girls up (since I focused almost entirely on Ritsuko... oops.) and clear most of the other listed lives first (probably a horrible way to go about things, but I like completion to be relatively orderly and follow some semblance of a sequence).

Kudos and thanks on that event list though,  that'll seriously come in handy when I decide to take on some of the other more time-sensitive lives.

EDIT: I will say though once again, I wish the rhythm game was a little more difficult. Like it's largely not the point of iM@S, but being used to Project Diva's rhythm game On Extreme, MASTER difficulty feels stupidly easy. Like unlike PS I actually have fun playing some of the songs, but still... if you're going to make the actual Live gameplay that of a traditional rhythm game, seems like you'd put a little more time into making it somewhat challenging seeing as it's going to be a big chunk of gameplay.

I'm still waiting for FedEx to deliver my copy (got delayed til after the holidays... yippee...) but out of curiosity, for all y'all that have the game already, how playable/friendly would you say it is for someone who is somewhat limited in their Japanese? Am I going to be doing alright with my fairly basic grasp of the language (as in OFA and PS), or am I going to be reaching for the pause button and frantically attempt to screenshot the dialogue before the boxes disappear so I can actually take a minute to read it because it'll screw things up if I answer wrong on a commu?

Mind you, gonna play and enjoy the heck out of it either way. Just curious is all.

THE iDOLM@STER Platinum Stars / Re: DL Lives

Honestly, I'm about to give up and just use a bot. I can't seem to get any DL outfits or accessories. I'm gonna be singing Kiramekirari in my sleep with how many times I've had to clear that song.

Weirdly enough though, I HAVE gotten certain DL recolors (at least that's what I"m assuming based on the little shopping cart icon) from regular ranked Live drops. Which makes no sense to me, but whatever. I'll take it. I'm assuming it's because they're lower than S-rank or something.

Totally understood, Setsuna. Had I the recording equipment and a computer that could handle it, I'd gladly take up requests. But alas, I do not, so unfortunately I am stuck making them.

That said, and this goes to anyone possibly capable of filling requests at the moment, my good friend DR. SHRUBBERY has asked me to put forward a few requests for him. He's fairly new to iM@S and just played around with the compendium for the first time.

Agent Yoru wo Yuku - Takane, Miki, Makoto (im@s2) (im@s2 PS3) (C STA-020) (A Hd-024 Ar-022) (St-14)
Overmaster - Ami, Takane, Miki, Haruka, Azusa (im@s2) (im@s2 PS3) (C LUX-006) (A Hd-022 Ar-053) (Q-04)
L・O・B・M - Mami, Takane, Miki, Iori, Chihaya (im@s2) (im@s2 PS3) (C EXT-034) (A Hd-027) (Q-07)

Thank you from both of us ahead of time.

Holy timing Setsuna. Like seriously you had freaking amazing timing there. Just a few hours before I'd be denied computer access for an entire week.

Still, thanks a lot, as always. It's frustrating when one needs the audio/video and has the game, but lacks the equipment to get what they need. So thanks again!

Well, time to check out the compendium. It's awesome how much work you put into this, Setsuna.

Omoide wo Arigatou - Takane, Ritsuko, Yukiho (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C FLO-016) (A Hd-057 Bd-053 Ar-054) (St-28)
i - Ritsuko, Yukiho, Takane (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C EXT-025) (A Hd-058 Bd-055) (St-12)
Meisou Mind - Yukiho, Takane, Ritsuko (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C LUX-025) (St-07)

Is it bad that I can't look at the new headphone accessory without immediately thinking of Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4?

Might participate in the Hangout, though if I do it won't be for too long. I have to perform as part of a woodwind trio the next morning for a gig.

Two old pics of my dog, Kai. The first is when we got her a new toy (that she is afraid of), and the second is just pretty much her default expression: utterly clueless with her tongue poking out of her mouth.

And because why the heck not, a photo of me taken because a friend complained I never use real pictures of myself on Google+ or Facebook. For some reason, people tend to not expect me to be blonde.

Oh, switch it to this then. I forgot they were blocking that, now.

Thanks to both of you for my previous request round. I have some more- I kind of get these ideas for unit/costume design themes and like having stuff on Youtube to look at whenever.

Last round's outfit theme should be pretty obvious, this one might be less so.

Nanairo Button - Yayoi, Miki, Chihaya (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C LUX-023) (A Hd-039 Bd-047 Ar-048) (St-25)
The world is all one!! - Yayoi, Miki, Chihaya (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C STA-027) (A Hd-024 Lg-003) (St-25)
Mahou wo Kakete - Yayoi, Miki, Chihaya (im@s1) (im@s2 PS3) (C FLO-028) (A Hd-009 Bd-052) (St-25)

Well, because my younger brother hid my PS3 to give me incentive to get on the treadmill, I have a few requests.

THE iDOLM@STER 2 / Re: Localizing iDOLM@STER 2

This thread puts me in a really good mood. That, and cream cheese and green onion sandwiches.

It's taking Namco all their time to localize Tales Of, which has a pretty established western fanbasethat they abandoned.

Namco pretty much likes to throw its western fanbase under a truck in general.
