Community works / Hoshii Miki Cosplay- "Love you honey!"
« on: April 27, 2016, 11:57:20 pm »
Hello again friends!
I'm once again tackling cosplay after a pretty long hiatus.

A lot of things have happened recently that made me unable to work on cosplay until this moment.
I'm happy to announce that I will be cosplaying as Awakened Miki in her green maid dress.

Here's some progress I've worked through so far:

I've cut out the top and skirt bits for the dress. Going to work on the sleeves tonight.

Planning to debut this at AN!!

They're all iDOLM@STER seiyuu, surely this is iDOLM@STER related.

Recently been playing around with Ruby on Rails and my first project I wanted to work on was basically an English Translated clone of Trysail's website ( with a few more features that appeal to English speaking fans that are not able to interact with this site directly.

Right now I'm working with some fake-ish true-ish stories but past the description have mostly gibberish text articles that I just quickly created for testing purposes. As you can see I'm still working out some consistencies with the tags but I feel like it's coming along nicely.

Not sure if anyone would really be interested in this, but I plan on posting more of my progress here.

Arcade reboot for smart devices announced in honor of 10th.

All of the games throughout this series have varied slightly in their game play and style.
What were some of your favorite im@s game play elements over the years?

What kinds of lesson mini games did you enjoy the most? Or which ones pissed you off to no end?
What was your favorite audition style?

iDOLM@STER 10th Anniversary Special Cosplay Project-

Hello again, everyone! For the past few years, you've supported me in my several iDOLM@STER related costuming projects here on Project-im@s.
Let's take a brief moment to reflect on those:

Scarlet Sprite,1646.0.html

[Canceled] Wired Marionette,1646.240.html

Street Hopper,1940.0.html

[Commission] Laugh Time School,1944.0.html

Leon's Stage Costume,2133.0.html

For this year, which is the 10th anniversary of iDOLM@STER, I want to do something special to celebrate the franchise by once again challenging myself to creating another one of the iconic costumes from the series.
As in previous times, I want to fully engage everyone in this journey, so let’s begin with the reveal!

Haruka Amami- Cute & Girly
Percent Completion: 0%

Cute & Girly by animagic4u, on Flickr

*Skirt Cover
*Skirt- May be able to bootstrap this item as I already own it!
*Small details- Hair ribbons, gloves, boot toppers, choker

This outfit means a lot to me since I started iDOLM@STER with the First Vision games and it was this Haruka that made me fall in love with the franchise so many years ago !

In addition, I hope to do some body art of the iDOLM@STER 10th anniversary logo either as face paint or on my chest or something! :)
Please cheer me on!

Hi all. As the resident DD addict I wanted to add the Dollfie Dream iDOLM@STER dolls and dress sets to the wiki.
There's a merchandise section, but I'm not sure if we should go in more detail or keep it vague like the merch section.

For reference here's links to the official sites:

We're up to 9 dolls and 9 (DLC) dress sets.

I was wondering if something like this would be more appropriate, with each of the dolls and sets having their own pages: (Let me know if this link doesn't work)

I posted this question to Twitter and got some interesting responses!
What do you think is the best part of the iDOLM@STER franchise? I've added more options to this version of the poll. You get 2 votes! Explain your answers.  :)

Personally, the fan culture of iDOLM@STER is what got me into the franchise in the first place, but I stayed for the games.

Hello there everyone. I'm back from the dead with a new project; it's not Haruka. *shot*

Leon's Stage Outfit Cosplay
Percent Completion: 100%

First round completed pictures here ->,2133.msg55142.html#msg55142

*Buy wig and dye it
*Crop Top- Partially completed, lining needs to be sewn in and straps need to be changed.
*Main skirt- Pattern is cut out
*Skirt cover
*Hair piece
*Gloves and small accessories
*Buy circle lenses

So far I'm in the planning stage.
I'm thinking of using this pattern for the top and drafting my own pattern for the skirt.

I will be keeping my progress here like previously with Scarlet Sprite. Hope to make progress soon!

Also if this turns out half way decent I will be wearing this at the Saboten convention Masq. Signed up for the Saboten Convention Masquerade!

「今日はきっと止まらない マイハニー ハートビート」

Hi everyone !! ^_^/
I'm back with a new cosplay project to share with you.

First, I'll start off by apologizing for the halting of the Wired Marionette project. Almost all the metal parts have to be redone now after running out of fabric. (And now as a result some parts don't match color).
However, I still wanted to get an iDOLM@STER cosplay out before Phoenix Comicon so I turned to one of my favorites, Street Hopper!
Street Hopper has been one of my favorite costumes ever since the DLC hit the Xbox 360 version, and when it was available free in Ps3 I was so happy to get it unlocked!

As of today, it is completely finished so let me quickly review some of my construction notes.

Here's the final product!

Construction notes:

I bought these shorts at Goodwill, however they were white...very white when I bought them.

I started out with 2 bottles of Cherry Red Rit Dye over night. This video is a great resource for dying

After completely washing and drying the pants turned out PINK.

After several minutes of "Doushiyou kana"-ing, I decided to try and re-dye the pants, this time with Scarlet.

After a 3 hour soak, they turned out as they are now! Really fantastic!

Bought a little boy's tshirt from Goodwill and a black sports bra from Walmart.
I used this tutorial as a reference for the lettering.
However, I have bad experiences using iron on transfers.
But! There is another method if you're like me and don't mind doing it.
I bought these colored bandanas at the crafts store and a package of Wonder Under interfacing.
Then I created these appliques using the bandanas and the interfacing and used the tutorial as a guide.

I created my own bias tape out of some red fabric to attach to the sleeves and the top of the blouse. (If you attempt this be VERY careful you test fit after sewing loosely. Attaching a non-knit to a knit can cause it to become unable to stretch).
After attaching the letters it looked like this:

This method is long, but with patience you'll have a professional looking shirt.

Did not aim for perfection here. Unlike Scarlet Sprite and Wired Marionette, the shoes are not one of the main foci of the costume.
So I got some white shoes from Walmart ($6) and colored them with fabric markers and sharpies.

The main point is that they look fun and colorful!

Got the glow sticks at Walmart. (look in the party section)
Yellow chain was some kind of thing of a baby thing....colored it with neon fabric marker.
765 Heart logo and Star was made with metallic and gold fabric and interfacing.
Gloves were made from an old sweater and another old mitten I had to make the pattern from.
Ribbons were made from some red fabric I had left from the self made bias tape.

Phoenix Comicon here I come!!
Please try out this costume for yourself if you can! It is a lot of fun.
Feel free to drop me any questions.

More pictures of me wearing it later of course. ^_^

Thanks for looking!
