You start losing image once you use a song for 10 weeks, that might be the case. Other things like image penalty from not going to auditions for too long might also apply. Also as mentioned certain accessories will subtract from other stats, a major failure of the game is that it does not tell you that explicitly. Here you can find a list of all costumes, and all the little effects: http://www36.atwiki.jp/imas-psp/pages/16.html. In fact that site probably answers 99% of all SP questions, only disadvantage is that its in japanese. Should be decently readable with google translate though.

The scripts should be .txt files, at least that's how they were saved on the wiki. Personally i just took everything from the project's blog (http://togiisei.wordpress.com/2011/09/02/script-collection/) and it seems to cover everything needed. If you don't have everything the patcher will just apply what you have so at worst you just end up with a few untranslated pictures here and there.

Edit: And if you were reeeaaaaally lazy you could just nab a download of the patched iso off the internet somewhere.

I know Sims 3 is infamous for load times but its that bad? I'm using only core i7 + intel onboard hd4000 graphics and i find i can load everything in at most a few minutes. Also, i can't believe i never realised you updated the other thread :O must be a combination of exams and trying to finish little busters visual novel. I might try my hand at this but i'm kind of reluctant to go dig up TS2.

I vote E for the lulz. I can totally imagine, she goes to France and then.. *meets Azusa* Oh hello Haruka, i'm afraid i got lost, do you know which way the 765 Pro office is?

Sorry i get caught up in my exam preparations and totally forget about forums lol. But there is one big problem - i don't think anybody has any idea of who to vote against. At least i have no clue whatsoever and any vote would just be purely random.

MUSIC for me, i like the song very much. After that would be edeN, and i don't care enough about the other 2 to decide which is better.

Happy birthday to Miki from a fellow slacker.

I think it might be handy to put up the player name list here. Also, just for clarification:
Quote
Win Conditions: All townies (normals and those with roles) win if they eliminate the mafia. All mafia members win if the mafia's numbers equal or outnumber the town's numbers (which do NOT include the neutral roles). The neutral roles simply win if they survive until one side is victorious, whether it's the town or the mafia.
Since it's 3/2 does this mean if everyone randomly lynches a town member the mafia win on day 1?

5 people is going to be a pretty short game lol.

I'm going a different route to that problem: farming name cards. To do so, you leave the first 2 songs to the idols and take as 3rd song whatever you like. You should be good with the song, preferably be able to full combo it. It doesn't need to have a high difficulty, because your rival is limited to the same songs as well it seems. I could easily beat all 3 Jupiter members (the only SSS rivals i'v seen so far) by playing "Music", even though it's just an 8 star song. I could also beat SS idols with 7 star songs without (didn't try it against jupiter on those).
If there is no new rival you can get a card from, just restart the game. If you loose the song you can restart the song and try again without penalties or the need to wait/go through menus again. I admit it's a bit tiresome, especially when you already have a lot of name cards. But now i'm at about +1800 points and after this "farming run" on expert i'll give it another shot on clearing expert.
With an 8 star song you can get 5850 points quite well. If it's the 3rd song and you beat a rival it is somewhere around 6700 points. This makes 18400 points, so you need about 1600 points from name cards. If you got that, it also "unlocks" the 8 star songs for expert SoF. I don't know how many points you can make with 7 star songs.

Btw i went this route not because i was tired of playing the same songs over and over, but because i wasn't good enough with the 9 and 10 star songs. Though i haven't tried them for a while now, i assume i got much better by now, considering how much "easier" the 8 and 7 star songs have become :p
:O Your post made me do some research and realise that name card bonus is actually based on the namecards you have, i always thought it was based on the rank of the idol you vs. Anyway i took a bit of time here and there on the train to school to practice and i can reliably S/SS Watashi wa Idol (10*), SS Mahou wo Kakete (9*) and SS + full combo the iDOLM@STER (9*) which turns out to be about 6300, 6200, and 6300 points respectively. i use them in this order because i'm best at the iDOLM@STER out of these 3, this on avg turns out to be about 20800 per day, my namecard bonus is only 1030. I managed to complete SOF expert using these 3 and got SS rank. As to being good at 9/10* songs i think being good at other songs doesn't help much - even after obtaining my SSS full combo on the iDOLM@STER, Lovely still messes me up pretty badly.

In this song lineup MUSIC is my favourite new song. I'm split on which version i prefer though, while Honey Sound has Yakusoku it is disappointingly short, then they put in Me ga Au Toki which is my only hated Chihaya song, also Vault That Borderline! is meh, i kind of dislike it. The rest of the songs are decent. Groovy Tune has nice stuff like Alright, Kazahana, relations, Marionette no Kokoro, etc. and i agree edeN is the best of the 3 new songs. I see almost nothing i like in Funky Note because i dislike the lolis, Hibiki is the only reason i would touch it, if i ever do so.

It does give money, at the results screen on the left side below the performance breakdown it shows how much you earn. For best farming you can just buy the target supporter Z and then farm master-level songs. Just pick any song you like and are familiar with, it gives you such a large margin of error you get full combo SSS all the time. Pretty good money.

can anyone translate what the items in the last shop category are? my japanese isn't good enough unfortunately

the first item in there has something to do with SoF, something with 3 songs, but no idea what exactely
i haven't unlocked the next item yet, so no idea either
if i understood this correctly the next 3 items increase the maximum number of hearts an idol can have. i don't know by how much, but with 2 of them bought i could have over 25 hearts on one idol.
and then there is another one i haven't unlocked yet.
The last category is amulets. First item seems to give you an additional option in SOF mode to let your idols choose songs for you, the one just below the default random (I'm not really sure on this either because my japanese isn't much better). Next item will let you go backstage and set the mc to special. Last 3 up memory limit to <something> (not sure about this because i only realised this existed when i had 2 unlocked and bought up to the 50 one), 50, 99 respectively

After playing for a while i have to say that the Star of Festa mode is really disappointing. I can understand if they give different point totals for songs of different difficulty ratings, but it essentially locks you into playing a select few songs over and over again just to get a S or better result because the difference is ridiculously big. I tried SOF expert mode and the only way i could clear it was by spamming 9/10 difficulty songs, and given how important familiarity is at higher difficulties i ended up using the same 3 songs every day. You can't even get 20k points in 1 day for a bare minimum clear even if you 100% SSS 3 8 difficulty songs, that's how restrictive the mode is. At this point i would pay good money for a 'unified' game containing all the songs so i can at least have some variety in SOF mode.

Sounds fun, i'm in.

I couldn't find a proper list of shop items anywhere and the wiki page is woefully lacking, so i decided i might as well train my Japanese reading skills and make a rough translation.
These are the items that you use with a song, in the shop window its the top left button (アイテム). 2 items are still locked for me because i'm only rank A right now, i'll update when i rank up to S.
Edit: I've ranked up, added the items. They're just 'super' versions of the Z versions anyway.
My japanese is not very good (im still learning) so feel free to point out if i made any mistakes.
I also included my own opinion on each item.

All the .Z items are permanent infinite-use versions of the normal items, I didn't include a separate entry since it's all the same except for the 「消費されません」 at the end of description which means its not used up after a song. Thus you should always just buy the Z versions since you can endlessly use them, it's definitely more worth it in the long run. Only one item per song use though, and you have to go backstage to change which item is set to be used.

ターゲットサポーター
Target Supporter
ターゲット判定かちょっと大きくなります。
Target determination is a little bigger. (Increases the 'hitbox' of the target, you have more leeway for mistakes)
めざせ, フル コンボ!
Aim, full combo!

Imo this item is cheap as hell, i used it once and instant 100% SSS. It seems to upgrade all 'Good' to 'Perfect', at least that's my impression after using it.

アイコンサポーター
Icon Supporter
ロングアイコンな離しても大丈夫。
It's ok if you let go in the middle of a hold icon.
うっかりしてもこれで安心!
Don't worry about accidents!

This isn't as useful imo unless you have severe hit-and-lift-finger issues. It's still kind of cheap though, considering how it lets you autoignore all hold notes.

キラメキプラス
Kirameki Plus
キラメキメーターが上がりやすくなります。
Kirameki metre goes up faster.
これですぐにキラメキMAX!
With this, quickly max Kirameki!

Didn't even bother to buy this, not much use imo. If you want to see more of the Special PV, Theatre is there for you. Use itemslot for better stuff.

キラメキガード
Kirameki Guard
キラメキメーターが下がりにくくなります。
Kirameki metre decreases more slowly.
コンボが切れてもこれで安心
Peace of mind even if your combo breaks. (What a stupid description, as if our primary concern is maxing Kirameki.)

Even more useless than above, because you only seem to lose Kirameki on Bad.

ファンプラス
Fan Plus
ファンが増えやすくなります。
Easier to gain fans.
いつも以上にキラキラしてる!?
I'm shining more than usual!?

Exactly what it says on the tin. One of the more useful items imo, but comes at a hefty 35000 price for the Z version (normal is 3000).

ちょーファンプラス.Z
Super Fan Plus Z
Same as above, but bigger increase.

思い出プラス
Memories Plus
思い出か増えやすくなります。
Easier to gain memories.
みんあとの距離も縮まるかも?
See the distance (between you and the idols) decrease?

This increases memories gained by 50%, and imo is a must for memory farming for use in SOF. I have this on pretty much all the time.

ちょー思い出プラス.Z
Super Memories Plus Z
Same as above, bigger increase.

シンプルライン
Simple Line
メロディーラインがまっすぐになります。
Melody line becomes straight.
まずはこれで歌な覚えましょう!
Learn a song with this first!

Instead of the fancy-pantsy curly-whirly/ziggy-zaggy lines, you get ... a straight line. Useful for practice as the description says, however its only really useful for practicing when you have no idea of the relation between notes and song rhythm. When playing songs i already know i noticed no improvement at all. Also makes it kind of boring, and if i want to practice i'd rather put memories/fan plus to farm more of those.

Haha, good to see the fruits of the other thread. Are you going to make a producer? Also i remember there was a mod or something that had hair ribbons which i used for Haruka, you could search for it if you want. Those ribbons are an iconic part of her outfit after all (I'm assuming the first one on the left is Haruka, right?).

Lack of Nemuri Hime and Aoi Tori makes me rage. I smell a DLC trap. Hoping the PSN asia release comes out faster.

@above: Just search for idolmaster (or アイドルマスター if you're on jp psn) and all the im@s games pop up, scroll down a while and the SP ones appear.
