Title: iM@S space in Home.

Excuse all the moonrune, but I'm sure you get the whole idea.
Anyways, iM@S is getting its proper space in PS Home, further reinforcing my theory that iDOLM@STER will obviously come to the PS3 in due time.

(Why people still object to this is beyond me, I swear...)

What gets me is the phrase "Go to the new stage!"
Though it's obvious it refers to the new space on Home, I wonder if it'll allude to something else?
Or, it could just be continuing support for Im@s SP. Who knows? :P

Oho, I like the iM@S-PS3 stuff. iM@S 2nd Vision + PS3 = do want.

the only way I could imagine this NOT alluding to that was when a similar thing happened (with Hatsune Miku, promoting Project Diva), that was still PSP-only and didn't carry a PS3-follow up (well...yet XD)

By all means, iM@S, come to the PS3. We welcome you.

But it did bring about an arcade version of Hatsune Miku. Hopefully THAT will come to the PS3.

If we do get iM@S for PS3, then I expect imports to come. PS3 is region-free after all.

Well, region-free doesn't necessarily mean the company will officially import it, if that's what you mean XD
Of course, people will import it anyway~ Works well for the PSP so far :)

Well, seeing as the Xbox 360 version is still Japan-only, I doubt the PS3 version will come here. I was talking about eager fans who can actually play it with out modding or chipping their consoles. Like me. :D (If I had the money >.>)

Post by: Scotty on January 13, 2010, 03:47:00 am
Being released on the PS3 means anyone could play it not because it would come here (it won't) but because the PS3 isn't region locked like the 360...
Title: Re: iM@S space in Home.
Post by: TweenDoriru on January 13, 2010, 05:15:49 am
All the more reason to eagerly await more tidbits hinting at a PS3 release...

as well as keeping fingers crossed that the 2nd vision console game goes back to letting the player be a Producer and not an idol :(

I would probably play iM@S DS a lot more if I was Ai/Eri/Ryo's producer and not THEM. @_@

Actually, I would like Im@s2 to have both a regular Producer mode, and a DS-like Idol mode.

But if that Haruka on stage is the final PS3 model, then I'll be crying in the corner.

More likely than not (I think) there'll be more than one "mode" (like SP has Story & Free, and Office). If they'll go to different gameplay types altogether...who can really tell, for now? :D Though it might be weird to be producing the idol one day and then being them the next XD

I doubt it veeeeeery very seriously. XD They had to Home-ify her.

Oh god, Home-Haruka is freaky. I visit the roulette machines in the Bandai Namco center regularly, partly to listen to Town, but also to try and win something. But I never get the main prize and end up on the red X. orz

I should change my character to a girl to get the Haruka clothes, but I don't feel like it.

Can't disagree, but you have to also consider that she is a mask XD

I really want to see what the graphics will be like. Home-Haruka scares me...-_-
So if iM@S is coming to the PS3, all that's left now is for it to be picked up by a respectable dubbing company *crosses fingers*

I don't think you understand.

iM@S WON'T come to the US. That's obvious. So there's no need for dubbing. There's also no such thing as a 'dubbing company' in this sort of stuff.

Basically, if it comes to the PS3 in Japan, everyone else can rejoice because all they have to do is order the game through a simple website and bam, there it is.

Title: Re: iM@S space in Home.

heck they'll probably wait till one of the big gaming conferences although Namco's already announced a few of their other games this month so i won't be shocked if they do something by February.

Ever since they announced their 2nd vision project, the magic date has always been Summer 2010.

It would be actually kinda neat if they pulled it off :D: Though, I don't want to wait that long for iM@S2 info.

By the way, the graphics for the idols on PS3 is certainly different, though I don't think it's bad. I actually like it. I do like the 360 graphics very much, though I think the girls look so cute in these "new" graphics.

Also with PS3, doesn't cel-shading have a slight issue? If I remember right, playing Eternal Sonata on the PS3 had some fairly visible framerate issues... Though, these still could be all "Home"-ified graphics.

I don't think they'll use these graphics in the game(s) if it'll be released on the PS3.

Yeah...like I said, they could still be the "Home" graphics (since throwing something cel-shaded into PSHome would be weird). It still is neat to see them in these graphics XD

My thoughts on why it might not be on the PS3. I heard from a source that because of graphics capability differences is a probably reason why the game won't come out for the PS3. But then, we still dunno, so yeah.

(Plus I keep thinking because of everything else I saw in those videos is that this is just continued support for iM@S PSP)
Title: Re: iM@S space in Home.

I'm just going to home that those are just graphics for Home and not for the actual PS3 release if they're actually working on one.

Because they look like PVC figures, and scared the crap out of me at first viewing.
Title: Re: iM@S space in Home.
Post by: Scotty on January 21, 2010, 08:03:23 pm
Wow guys. Really.

Do not even mention graphics when it comes to iM@S on PS3. Remember that this takes place in Home and everything in Home must adhere to the Home look, which is its own style. Hence our beautiful and beloved Home Haruka we've come to know and love.

This is basically going to be a space in Home dedicated to the promotion of the SP series, with live events and other sorts of promotions.

Because of this continued support, this could mean one of two things. Either there really will be a PS3 version of iM@S because of the continued attention to the Sony family, or they really want to push the SP series.

@Marx: So far, anything the 360 can do, the PS3 can also do, even more so with games such as Uncharted 2 and 3D block Heroes. The PS3 is perfectly capable of being the next console to house iM@S2.

I think Home Haruka can be considered an infamous Home staple, not because of the switch to Home style necessarily, but because it's a mask...frozen into a pretty creepy look.

Ahaa~

Yeah, that was me =3=, I was busy playing Mass Effect 2.

Just got into the live right now, and so far Haruka has been doing colorful days and THE iDOLM@STER. Followed by iM@S SP's first trailer.

Edit: That was it actually....pretty quick live...

.....like my sexy time.

Meh, wasn't there at the time, so I just recorded the thing.

The live was pretty dissapointing imo, also the chearing gig's dumb...

[Edit]
The 2nd show of the day started off with Haruka doing THE iDOLM@STER and ended with Colorful Days instead, dunno why they changed the order but meh.
At the end they showed the trailer of Catalog 12 instead of the trailer.

Once the people gets the hook on how to cheer, it's way more enjoyable. In today's last concert we triggered several appeals, and the second song was unexpectedly performed by Yukiho.
