Hi there, I am darkarn, currently 22 years old and a guy. I have been lurking here for so long (cos' it is useful!) that I decided to make an account here. I started following the iM@S franchise since end-2011/2012 thanks to my friends and will like to play the "main" games soon (and even make those L4U/S4U videos?); am playing with the PSP games (SP and Shiny Festa) right now. I do play other music games (or rather, started from them) like GitaDora, Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, DDR, jubeat, Reflec BEAT, Project DIVA, DJMAX Technika, Taiko (of which I started at same time as iM@S) and MaiMai and do photography.
So, hello there! :)
EDIT: Ah yes, I forgot about DJMAX, how could I? :P

I like photography too. I'm not very good at it, and I don't even have a proper camera, but I do appreciate well taken photos. You can post some of your photos in this thread (http://forum.project-imas.com/index.php/topic,1640.0.html).
And, welcome to the forums!

Huh.. Someone who plays a lot of Bemani. Good taste.

Cool, a person with good taste.
We'll most likely get along. ^_^

Thanks, will upload... if I don't get too lazy that is :P

Thanks guys, how's the Bemani/Sega/Taiko scene at your side? Here, all these games are pretty strong (although we almost did not get the newest versions recently :X)... except Pop'n Music and Taiko :O
Welcome!
Thanks man! :)

For the most part, it sucks unless you live in California. The two arcades I frequented in my area closed last year and the closest decent arcade is a 3 hours drive from here. SG's community seems to be nice and strong though.

Ah, I see... A pity indeed (where did all those plans to localise them go?! :( ) I last heard about TGA and Arcade Infinity being shut down but Gemini in Las Vegas still going strong... And yes, thanks, we are still ok here :)

Welcome to the forums fellow lurker!
Enjoy your stay and tell me, how is Project Diva?
I've been wanting to try it but my money's been going to getting Im@s merchandise.

Hi! Project DIVA is a rhythm game like the other Bemani games with Vocaloids' songs in it. If you coming from those games that have notes falling down/up to a line, you will need some time to get used to notes flying all over the screen (especially Arcade) but other than that you should be fine...

Gemini in Vegas and Round 1 in Los Angeles seem to be the big Bemani spots over here. Do y'all get Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4s in SG?

Yeah, I am going to fool around a little with my HiAce there... But I will be more serious if they allow itashas of the 765 idols on the cars :D

fffffffffff I have a R35 from 3DX+ that I can't use and I really want to see a WMMT4 here so I can convert it. Nice to see y'all get some good stuff. Does SG get E-Amuse for Bemani?

We do... But coverage is a lot less than before due to some pricing issues :(

Keep an eye on Sega. They're pushing for an English release of the newest game on PS3. That would be a good entry point, because the newest one is fantastic, and a western release will be cheaper.

Hey there... and you are right! They are going all out this time round (Mikunopolis must have played a part in this...); Sega is now asking players to like and share this link (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151538674841796&set=a.133608051795.134727.28248536795&type=1&theater (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151538674841796&set=a.133608051795.134727.28248536795&type=1&theater)) if they want a Western release.
Let's see how they fare up to Bemani/Konami (so far, arcade releases are not very good but their iOS apps are doing well I hear...). As for NBGI? Their Taiko games did not do well unfortunately :( ...and I think localizing iM@S might be a bad idea considering how the main appeal of the franchise (not just a music game anymore!) is actually the seiyuus (I reckon)
