Title: WWE Night of Champions 2011
Post by: RoninatorMarx on September 20, 2011, 04:09:08 pm
Truly it's a night I will never forget. Because I missed more than half of this and it was one of the best PPVs WWE had in a while. DD:

From what I caught up with:

-Mark definitely deserves the title after this long. It's fine.
-Kelly should not be winning by that bullshit ending, especially in Beth's hometown. I mean did you hear that crowd, I know it's her hometown but at least give her a believable ending
-Why does Cena have the championship again?
-Punk and Hunter's match was good... up until the ending... I don't know what was going on there.

Overall Night of Champions... was kinda derpy

I didn't watch the PPV the other night but here are my thoughts from what I have read.

I was glad to see Mark Henry win the world heavyweight title and Randy Orton for once lose cleanly in a match.

Really WWE? It's in Beth Phoenix's hometown and you have her lose to Kelly Kelly by roll up? That was just a really stupid ending I thought.

Ugh. Seriously. I'm a little tired of seeing John Cena as champion all the time. Way to make Alberto Del Rio look weak WWE.

CM Punk and Triple H match was pretty good until Kevin Nash interfered. But was still a good match anyway.

Overall it was an ok PPV I guess.

Well, I'm not really sure of this but perhaps WWE is getting people to get used to their hometown wrestlers losing there, like the case of the Miz this week and Rey Mysterio (of all people) the Raw episode after Summerslam (Then again, if you ask me, that's not why they were in an uproar the most). Also, I thought Henry already had a championship before (The ECW championship) or did WWE retcon that one out?

As for del Rio, well the only thing he could boast is the Crossarm Breaker. Outside of that, he's like other wrestlers in his built. I mean, Christian beat him twice, when that move failed. I already thought before of a way of countering that move while in tact, but needs a bit of muscle power to do so, which is why my money's on Cena that night. But hey, if you don't like him having the title, CM Punk has a good chance of getting it at Hell in a Cell.
