I'm watching it on G4 right now, and I think it's pretty cool so far.
Do you guys have any thoughts on it. If so, post here!
-
I only saw Microsoft's and EA's conferences (they were the only ones today right?). Microsoft pretty much did what they did last year and that didn't go well and I wasn't really interested in EA's. Here's hoping for tommorow to be better.
-
I wasn't able to watch any of it since I was at work all day today.
Did they mention Ace Combat: Assault Horizon?
-
>Ice-T wearing shades while playing gears of war 3
the best part of this year e3
-
I'm gonna wait till I see what Nintendo's up to.
-
Halo 4
WUT!?
-
I haven't been watching it but I heard something about a Metal Gear Solid Remake. XD
-
When I saw that Playstation 3D tv and then the Playstation Vita I was amazed!
edit: OMG! Did Nintendo just roll out with an orchestra?
Most epic performance yet~ That was awesome!
Uhh...Wii U...
That controller...That controller...I'm so confused but it looks awesome!

From what I saw...
MS: F- - I never thought there was anything cancerous in the game industry. But it turns out that Kinect is exactly that. Also, Halo 4 was uncalled for and completely unnecessary.
EA: C+ - Not too bad of a show. Kinda upset that NFS The Run has on-foot segments with qtes. :\
Ubisoft: C - Decent lineup of games. Technical flub with Trackmania presentation lost points. Looking forward to Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Sony: B+ - No real surprises in terms of games, but the 3Dtv package and Resistance 3 package is intriguing. Very interested in the PS Vita and its capabilities. And as expected, they apologized for the outage.
-
Cien is so hurt by everything it's adorable :3c
Konami: Zone of the Enders HD pack.
Microsoft: Minecraft, Halo 4, Forza 4, Kinect support on multiplatform titles.
EA: Nothing good. Disregard that, BF3 was awesome.
Ubisoft: Rayman is oozing with charm.
Sony: Vita. That's it.
Nintendo: Solid 3DS games, Wii U (Once you finally understood it) is pretty alright, New Super Smash Bros.
Overall, alright year.

I'm interested with Wii U, I like to see where it can go
-
Finally the 3DS expands its library. Now I have a reason to get one.
Vita looks okay, just waiting on some more titles for that one first.
-
Wii U, that's something I didn't know. PS3D is interesting as well, though I wonder if it's fated to become a gimmick. I kinda hope not.
Other than that, well... new games come out, like they always have. A good game's a good game no matter when you play it, but part of me wonders what's going on in terms of graphics that can't be attributed to poly count or sheer muscle. Wading through this stuff is a bit of a pain to find out, though. Someone wake me up if there's some stylistic GPU post-processing going on. Maybe facial expressions have gotten better, though, I've been a little out of the loop.
-
PS3D?
-
PS3D?
Sorry, Playstation 3Dtv is what I meant. Over-abbreviating things.
-
Oh.
I'd be interested in it if it weren't the size of a monitor and it didn't ghost a lot like people who got to handle it said it did.
I got way too excited for that Minecraft announcement.

For Kinect?
Excuse me if I don't know any better, but how will motion controls improve the gameplay of Minecraft?
-
It supports Kinect. It'll use a controller. How it'll be implemented is anyone's guess.
-
Dragon's Crown for the PSV was the only thing that caught my eye in the e3 coverage. Sadly there wasn't anything really said about it, and it was a surprise that was only shown for like a couple seconds in the Vita promo footage.
The Wii U isn't really anything exciting to me, it's basically just an upgraded Wii from what I've seen with this additional controller. To me it's like they've upscaled the DS to use in your living room, having you use two screens and a touch screen to play. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it'll come bundled with 3D glasses. Also the design bothers me, the controller looks like one of those play&learn devices, and the Wii didn't receive a re-design, they just knocked it over on it's side.

Reminds me of an Etch-a-Sketch, but that's just me. Maybe a Magna Doodle if you've got the stylus out.

Almost forgot, IGN is saying that during e3 the Vita was announced to be region-free like the PSP and PS3. If this is so, then I hope Namco gets an Im@s game on there ASAP.
-
I spend the Nintendo conference being mad at the Wii U. I owned a wii myself, but this whole casual gaming and "~gender and age barriers are fading~" drives me mad. Even if it's fading, you still have a demographic of gamers. They say that then show the games they did...
One day I might own one, don't get me wrong, but those controllers look like an accident waiting to happen, getting lost around the house and the screens getting broken. That and I can see from here they're going to cost a fortune each and if one even comes with the console the price is going to shoot up
...that might just be me being bitter over the fact that if an American pays $300 we end up paying something ridiculous like £250. :|
I'm also very glad Sony is still going down the region free path, it makes a pretty big impact on what I buy and don't these days.

:3c I don't lose my iPad...

It'd be a good integration of the arcade controls and the new style gameplay.

:3c I don't lose my iPad...
Most people with iPads aren't ten or have children who are ten and if they do I imagine they'd be extra careful. The thought of clingy kid hands all over a touch screen makes me dfkjsd;'fsg'f'l;
Kids will leave them on sofas, unsuspecting parents will sit on them etc. to regular gamers it wouldn't be a problem, but somehow I feel they aren't ~family home~ proof.
If one of these gets somehow thrown at the TV, say goodbye to the TV and the wall behind it, I guess.
