There's still some channels that didn't get their videos or their channel taken down like 765pro, weird
Probably for exactly what you said, since 765Pro's videos are very clearly marked as being recorded from a PS4 (hello, white rectangle in the corner).

I'll note that I hadn't uploaded any PS footage and the two strikes I earned were for Futari no Kioku and Tonari ni..., fairly old songs. So this makes me wonder.

- I dislike Ritsuko and Yayoi's singing and don't listen to them enough to make a good comparison. I'll just skip over them without commenting.
Ritsuko's was pretty surprising for me - she runs into the same issue Chihaya has with overstraining sometimes, but not so much here. She actually sounds pretty nice, at least to my ears; at least the four M@STER VERSION idols sound decent enough (I generally agree with the assessment of the other three).
Yayoi... well, it's standard Yayoi fare, maybe slightly less shrill than usual, and I feel like she performs a little bit better here as a whole than she does over on Boku-tachi no Resistance... but that's more a comparison of "typical Yayoi singing" than compared to other idols' voices. I'd rank it as above Futamis/Iori at least.

I can't say I hear a whole lot of bad quality from the game versions of songs this go, but that's probably because the loudness war is pretty noticable with this batch in the M@STERs... A lot of the appeal of Miracle Night, I feel, was lost as a result, and I'm a little concerned for Amaterasu.

gaming culture in general is beyond toxic to girls :/
Certain genres, especially...

As for the article itself, it's basically just promoting a clan system in XB1 and using "women only" as an example. The clan system doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary.

I would pick up an iPod, but I've only so much pocket space, and I honestly don't listen to enough music on the go to justify having a separate device; the only thing that really interests me as far as iPods in specific go is the fact that nanos still have an FM radio player.
I'm pretty meh as far as Mother's Day/Father's Day go for reasons, so... well, meh.

Though I do wonder; does anyone know how to/if there's a method to have different wallpapers on separate monitors in Windows 10? I used to be able to have different wallpapers, it changed after an update and I have no clue why that is - only that I want to have two different wallpapers again without having to glue stuff together

Though, I dunno how could this works. I mean, I know it's obvious the idols are friendly to each other (so putting "Friend" for each character sounds... weird).
There's a difference between being friendly to someone and being their friend, though. Sure, Yukiho probably gets along okay with most of the cast, but the friendship she has with Makoto and her admiration of Takane (though not sure if latter is played up much anymore?) are more notable than, say, Yukiho's and Hibiki's interactions.

...outside of whichever manga had SprouT as a unit, which brings me to this question - since 765 has multiple continuities and spinoffs that don't necessarily cross over, how will these be handled? I think this information in general would be a good thing to include, but not sure how extensive this would get.

THE iDOLM@STER Platinum Stars / Re: THE iDOLM@STER: Platinum Stars

I'm not so sure if they'll do English this time. Asia is one thing, but the west is another. Korea has translations of mobage, but that doesn't mean we have an English version.

There's been issues of western backlash to certain titles and censorship lately and it might be considered too risky. They wouldn't want bad PR about pai touching after all.
Well, nobody said it had to be officially localized for Western countries either and I honestly don't want to see it happen; some Asian versions of games have had English subtitles, the SAO games being one of them. Quality of the subtitles themselves might be in question, but it's still a step or two above no translation at all.

Edit: They could release iM@S as a mature-or-equivalent, but the sheer existence of Yayoi and the Futamis... (Iori has a childlike body but you might be able to pass her as older via personality, can't do that with Yayoi/Futami)... ultimately, though, I don't think I'd want to see it come over officially after Shiny Festa and knowing how much backlash has occured with things like Fire Emblem. And Fire Emblem is a Nintendo flagship. The amount of censorship iM@S would undergo would change the game considerably on a gameplay level, whether or not you support or don't support the subject matter itself, and that is a huge red flag for me no matter what.

Tx for the reply lol. First time posting here. And Sadness over here.TT

I liked Cinderella girls more compared to original here.TT
Lucky you, at least people LIKE CG and there's plenty of people who share the same opinion as you.

...okay, sorry if I seem a little angry about this and especially more so than my normal, but as someone who actually likes 765 beyond Chihaya, Yukiho and Takane (these three are specifically named because they have a lot of translated content already) and whose favorite 765 idol is usually underrepresented at best and outright hated at worst, I'm a little sick of some of the attitudes I see from other people.

In any case, I do at least thank you guys for the translations, all three of you. It is nice to learn about more of the idols that started this franchise.

...Platinum Stars? At least if I'm to believe the katakana...

Meanwhile I'm just looking over at what's ostensibly Miki's arm and hair. Too early to tell what the hair physics will look like for obvious reasons (came a long way from looking like blocks at least), but it makes me wonder if that means the default outfits will become standardized across characters, if that's an extend outfit, or neither because I can't tell what her chest actually looks like.

As an iM@S fan, it's surprising to see this.

But, on the flip side, a lot of Sunrise's other franchises have made it into SRW so this should've been inevitable at some point? Maybe they just needed a franchise for their current event and since, well, Xeno HASN'T been noticed... now, if Xeno made it into a NON-mobile SRW game, I'd be really surprised.

Characters / Re: Favorite iM@S songs

Now that MA3's been out long enough, the CG anime's past, I bothered listening to more ML and time's passed in general, figured I'd give it an update. It'll only show what has changed.

If it hasn't been removed, but is blank, then it's probably because I'm not sure or can't properly judge at this time.
-Image songs-
Favorite Chihaya song: Nemurihime; Saihyou got demoted post-M@STER
Favorite Azusa song: Nageki no Fraction, why have I never heard you before?!
Favorite Ritsuko song: Watashi Datte Onnanoko just beat the other two out. Barely.
Least Favorite Iori song: complainedenoughaboutZenryokuIdol
Favorite Futami song: YOUou MYshin is a surprisingly energizing song for commuting, and I've grown to like it by association. Hokuago was so close too, but see Saihyou |:
Favorite Miki song: Nostalgia
Favorite Takane song: Futatsu no Tsuki.

-Cover songs-
Favorite Yukiho song: Agape
Favorite Futami song: White Breath (is it sad I prefer most Futami cover work over iM@S originals?)

Favorite Cinderella Girls group song: Trancing Pulse like probably most people who've seen CG S2
Favorite Cinderella Girls solo: Probably Venus Syndrome/in fact/most of Ranko's work in general
Favorite Million Live solo: Probably Nageki no Fraction or addicted atm, this one isn't really set and will probably never be
Favorite "cute" song: Heart Voice/Orange Sapphire, depends if you're REALLY getting picky here. Flower Girl is probably my favorite "cute" 765 though, after more thought.

Favorite rem@ster: First Stage both A and B, if the stuff from CG counts then Minami's Mitsuboshi/Ranko's Venus Syndrome covers
Favorite overall song: It's between inferno/Fate of the World/edeN at this point. The former comes closest, but all three are high enough to count.

I agree, Yukiho had the best overall CD this time. I think it definitely helps that... I'm not sure how to word it exactly. Perhaps that Asakura's settled in/found her own voice for Yukiho when compared to MA2?

(Far as my usual idol-bias goes, Takane > Ritsuko > Iori. I've complained about Zenryoku Idol enough, dislike or don't care about most of the songs on Ritsuko's, and Takane's as a whole just isn't as good compared to Yukiho's. Song bias plays a large factor for me, probably moreso than idol bias)

I actually think Miku will get Anzu no Uta for the sake of the OTHER pair dynamic. Sure, the Ankira, but since Marshmallow went to Riina...

Well, I'm not usually one to request videos... well, ever, but I do have one.

Memories with Ranko in Minami's position, and Anya in her normal? (I apologize as I don't know much about CGSS order.) I don't care about other characters or their positions, though I do request balance if unique/SSR outfits are used. Yes, it's obvious what I'd like to do, so I would like to be able to download the video directly.

General chatter / Re: The recent YT shenanigans.
« on: October 25, 2015, 04:52:32 pm »
I don't live in the US and I don't really give a shit if anyone in the US can see my videos, so whatever. This is just another way of Youtube to charge customers for content which has been online and available for free for the past seven years. I don't think it's a good look.
I do care, but then, I do live in the US. I do notice that this is affecting a lot of other content, too, though - even things that're much more mainstream like ESPN (though I think this one has to do with pre-existing contracts, I doubt this'll make many sports lovers happy). I don't think this is good either, given what this implies for both smaller creators and users alike. They're much too late if they want to jump on the stream bandwagon...

Would anyone be interesting in hosting an alternative site for requested imas videos or should new fans just be recommended to go to nico for imas content?
I've heard some people suggest dailymotion for iM@S uploading purposes. That said, though, it's not just iM@S affected by Red (a good portion of Vocaloid-based content is getting knocked too), and if there's a large enough migration to another website, what will happen then? (Besides Nico, of course)

General chatter / The recent YT shenanigans.
« on: October 25, 2015, 06:20:38 am »
Even though I haven't done requests since forever and a half I do keep my eyes around the forums and etc., as well as YT's endeavors. I recieved this in my email earlier, and I think this might be why -

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this beyond "irritated"... regardless, people were asking "why" thus.

(Would've answered in the respective thread, but I know Setsuna asked to move the related convo somewhere else)
