THE iDOLM@STER Stella Stage / Stella Stage All Star Live Videos
« on: July 20, 2018, 03:05:13 am »
As I had suspected, all of the all star live performances in game are prerecorded files in the game files, the same as OFA. Platinum Stars also uses prerendered videos again for all star lives, in fact, 2 of the videos were also from Platinum Stars with some minor differences.

Here's a folder of all of the all star lives in the game with the internal naming left intact from the decrypted game files:

Or for those who can't decipher the internal naming, here's individual links to each live:
The Live Kakumei de SHOW! (Revolution Night - Platinum Stars)
The Live Kakumei de SHOW! (Thunder Knight)
Happy! (Twinkle Star - Platinum Stars)
Happy! (Top! Clover)

For the uninitiated, the Allstar Lives in-game are pre-rendered videos, so here they are in their source quality with 5.1 FLAC audio:

I've never been a fan of introduction threads...

Sex: Male
Country of Origin: USA, but live in Toronto, Canada
Hobbies: MTG (aka Cardboard Crack), Video Gaming, Manga, Anime, Learning Japanese (very slowly), TvTropes, SDA

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: I can't remember exactly. I think it was through Kyo's walkthrough on GameFAQs (Which I am a member and follow the iM@S2 forums there).

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: To fill requests when people don't go overboard on DLCs and give my opinion on current developments.

Q: Do you play it?
A: Considering I'm one of the few request fillers on this site, yes. I've actually played all the retail games except L4U.

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Probably a tossup between Miki, Hibiki, and Haruka.

THE iDOLM@STER 2 / Non-Japanese Guide to iDOLM@STER 2
« on: December 20, 2011, 07:19:38 pm »
I know, this should belong in the Gameplay thread, but I believe this deserves a thread to itself. I'm working on a video guide of how to play iDOLM@STER 2 (Both versions) and I want some input before I go and record everything required to make it happen.

Script so far: Guide to iDOLM@STER 2.rtf

The advanced section is intended for those who have completed the game once. I'm thinking of moving the Extra Episode section there due to spoilers.

Edit: Made some quick changes. Moved the Extra Episode section to the advanced section.

If you've been paying attention to my YouTube channel or the Producer thread, this should be no surprise. The actual Let's Play will probably begin January when I can do commentary, as I can't upload the videos from my home connection without it taking forever, but I'll do it for the first Let's Play video.

THE iDOLM@STER 2 / IM@S PS3 DLC Sharing Signup
« on: November 05, 2011, 03:46:30 am »
Revoking both would actually make the whole process worse at least for the actual account owner - a revokal means that all the licencing files are rendered invalid upon next authentication (Due to how it works) - revoking both would mean that when purchasing (Since you have to get into your PSN account to make any purchases to begin with), you'd well, have to redownload everything again to update the licence files (Not the catalogs themselves, the individual licence unlocks).

It's pretty tedious to say the least (I mean, if you have to go through over the 100+ items every month, once catalog 10+ comes out, well...) and like I said, the cycle would have to happen every month.

If nothing else, you'd be inconviencing the person who would most likely be contributing the most to the account to speed up those who are most likely at the recieving end.

All that being said, I'm tempted to run a startup account (since I'm not in a position to risk my freelance work account due to tax reasons) and throw some startup money in there.

See if other people ARE willing to run a communially run account, and willing to contribute to it. It'd also mean that it's pretty hard for anyone to argue with me over the account custodian role - Effectively making me a managing third party.

To clarify, this would be an additional expense on top of my regular account - In short I would only be a contributor to said account, and would be using my regular one my regular operations.

I'll be quite interested to see how it works out. If it works out well, more people can fill requests and experience stuff.

If it works out badly, well, I'll be out 5000 yen + the additional cost of the card, but at least it'd answer my curiousity once and for all.
Setsuna is willing to contribute to the DLC sharing group and manage somewhat if we can get enough people to commit/show interest. If you commit, you are expected to contribute at least somewhat to group. Please post your game version below with your sign up as the two versions have different prices for DLCs and require different accounts.

The other thread will be left for discussion, so please use that one instead of this thread.

My version is the Japanese version. Still waiting on it though.

THE iDOLM@STER 2 / IM@S PS3 DLC Sharing Group?
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:19:01 pm »
If you didn't this about PSN, every PSN account can be activated on 5 PS3s at any one time, so 5 people can use the same DLCs. I propose we make a group to share idolm@ster 2 (or other DLC if applicable) DLCs to split costs. I don't actually have a PS3 right now, but I am willing to contribute money for DLCs until I get my hands on a PS3/copy of the game. Anybody else interested?

Edit: PS3 and Japanese copy obtained/in transit.
The edit strikes back: PS3 obtained; waiting on game.

I have started a Let's Play of Haruka's route of iDOLM@STER SP, using the translation patch from and some of my own fixes. This will (hopefully) be the discussion thread for the run, which is intended to be completed before the PS3 release of iDOLM@STER 2.
