Rules & News / We've changed servers!
« on: February 05, 2018, 10:19:36 am »
Some people noticed the downtime in recent days with weird redirects to Since the hosting provider wasn't being any help with that, I moved the site to another host.

Everything should now work correctly (Forum, Wiki, CGdex). HTTPS comes as a bonus, too.

If you see any bugs still roaming around, feel free to notify me.

Other iM@S discussion / Board opening
« on: August 17, 2015, 09:34:46 pm »
Yep, another board. There are many iM@S-related topics, including ones not covering games, characters, or derived products, but those don't seem to have a place anywhere outside the General Chatter. I'd feel bad sending them there, since they're still iM@S-related.

This board is for those topics. I'm testing the waters for now; I'm still hesitating between this and a board merge with Characters and/or Derived products.

Rules & News / Suggestion Box
« on: March 19, 2015, 07:05:25 pm »
It's already been more than 7 years since was registered.
I'd like to take a moment to see where we are -- and how we can stand to make things better. So I'm opening a new suggestion box!

I'd appreciate if you could spend your $0.02 here to tell us the things you like, and the things we could fix, whether it's on the forum or wiki (actual wiki changes will go to the wiki board).

As an opening, I suppose I'll ask of you:
  • Do you think the forum and wiki look nice?
  • What do you think would be nice to have, in terms of features or design?
  • Do you use the wiki much? Do you think the forum should be more prevalent on it?
For instance, we used to have a banner with rotating pictures (there's a thread in the general chatter section with a couple of those). How would you feel about getting it back?

Feel free to share your own suggestions and react.

Rules & News / Guest posting and new moderator
« on: March 05, 2015, 11:05:47 pm »
Hey folks,

Surprise to all, I have the privilege of welcoming Okayu on the global moderators team.
I'd say "get along" but I'm pretty sure you already have, since he's an active member of the community.
He has interesting input on the current state of the forum and wiki and how it could be made more user-friendly. You're probably going to notice a couple changes soon enough that head in this direction.

At the same time, in an effort to allow more input to come in, I've enabled guest posting on the forum. Depending on how this turns out, I may enable guest wiki editing in the near future.

I won't be locking this right away, so feel free to speak your mind here.

Oh, and he wasn't promoted because he was a Chihaya fan. Nope. Nuh-uh. Not at all.

EDIT (2015-03-07):
Guest posting has been authorized in the iM@S category (excluding request boards), and the Wiki Discussion board.

Rules & News / Downtime and stability issues
« on: August 05, 2014, 09:07:03 am »

The downtime we just had was caused by performance issues. We're working together to see if we can coexist with me not burning the server out and them not cutting me.
When the site is down, updates will be posted over on the Google+ page ( and/or IRC (#idolmaster@Rizon). I can answer directly on IRC (provided I'm not asleep).

Rules & News / Temporary stability issues
« on: May 13, 2013, 03:25:10 pm »
Both forum and wiki are experiencing stability issues, with HTTP 500 errors being given away by the truckload.
I'm investigating the cause, and I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for your understanding.

Rules & News / Server transfer (complete)
« on: December 12, 2012, 06:29:57 am »
Because of obvious stability issues these past months, will change servers (again).
The change should take place within 24 hours, and is estimated to last at most 8 hours. The site, forum and wiki will be locked and/or unavailable during that time.
No data should be lost during the transfer, but if you have important stuff on here, do back it up, just in case.

Status updates will be found on's Google+ page.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Edit: Transfer complete.

Rules & News / Registration issues
« on: March 21, 2012, 08:54:08 am »
Google, Yahoo and other big wigs still don't like our mail server, and will reject anything sent from, including but not limited to registration e-mails.
I'll give the host a heads-up, but in the meantime you can send me a mail on webmaster at project-imas dot com with your username so I can register you manually.

Thank you for your understanding.
