I am incredibly late to the Festa party, but I finally got a hold of Funky Note.
GAWD such wasted potential with this game. I wish they had not of focused on this special video stuff for each song and had just made one really good video to go with each song. I think it was Honey Heartbeat I was playing, but the first video was just so bland before they poofed into DLC costumes with fireworks in the second video. I was thinking, why bother, just make ONE decent video instead of making you work for the decent one. Or you leave a decent one and get tossed into an awful scene of Hibiki walking down a flight of stairs for instance. I would have rather had a tiering Fever system that launched you into selected modifiers like stealth, hidden, speed, etc. than special videos. Video changing during the song is a cool idea, just would have been more practical I think on a console than on a handheld where you're hurting for space.
Everything else is pretty impressive, plenty of unlocks and all the music is default available (unlike most rhythm games). It's just that decision to have two videos to each song is such a waste of space. If they stuck with one, then with the free space they could have added 15-20 more songs with their own videos. Or even tacked on a large song library that cycles through screenshots of the anime for background animation. Considering the amount of grinding you have to do in this game, there should have been more songs to play through...
What would you guys change or add to the game if you could?
