THE iDOLM@STER ONE FOR ALL / Re: With so many guest idols in One for All...

I'd like it if they did "versions" like SP.

I think it's possible for Makoto to grow her hair just a little bit longer and still be androgynous, if she wears it in a certain style, like a short layered ponytail. Something that'll still make her look sporty, anyway. Something like Sheena Fujibayashi for lack of better words.

Honestly I once asked myself around the time the first EX DLCs came out, where next? The girls of 765 are already top idols beloved by the nation, how much higher could their fame and skill go? And then it hit me... They're only big in Japan. I would imagine the next game would be about 765 conquering the world, so to speak, striving for global popularity. Kind of like the regions in 2, but on a more massive scale. I think that's the logical next step to becoming top idol. I think iM@S 3rd Vision would probably also have an appearance revision again. Maybe Azusa grows her hair back, Makoto's hair gets even longer, Miki's back to short brown hair, maybe someone gets increased sizes. Who knows. Azusa had better grow her hair back

I would be surprised if it was focused on the Cinderella Girls and straight up shocked if it was focused on Male Idols (ew) the main Idolm@ster demographic has always been men and obviously men want to produce girls in most cases so I definitely don't see them going that route ever, or at least a long time from now. A mobile game makes sense because honestly there are a shit ton of girl "gamers" who play nothing but mobile games so ofc they will get a good amount of girls playing it; but a main series game? Naw.

And so are the people who play Tokimeki Memorial (which is a straight up dating sim)... And yet they make the Girl's Side games which have just as much features as the main one. And I don't see anybody complaining about them... A male idol game would most likely be a spinoff game for a different demographic, but with the iM@S trademark. I don't see why they would try to target a game like this towards the main series audience (not after the Jupiter disaster). Albeit due to iM@S's budget, it is a little risky to make a full-on male iM@S with the budget they put towards the main series, but I think they could test the waters with maybe a portable raising sim game starring Jupiter, and if it's popular go from there. SideM is still in its intimacy so I think it could use a wait.

I hate the diagonal stripes, the heart apron, everything about Teatime Happiness looks incredibly ugly to me.

I'm also really miffed about Bamco completely erasing all of Ryo's development and making him into a gimmick. It's always been incredibly jarring that the entire ending is just ignored. I actually really love his natural voice. Albeit I think Ai has the most interesting route in Dearly Stars.

Really, the "bad" things about Dearly Stars are mostly due to the hardware limitations. I think DS stands in nice with the console games, albeit with a much different approach in that it is from an idol's perspective.

The new extend really depends on who's wearing it for me. Some idols actually look cute in it but others make it look ugly. I do think this is a very disappointing catalog.

I actually think Teatime Happiness is one of the ugliest extends. It's so tacky looking in my opinion.

Yeah, this catalog looks really disappointing. 99 Nights isn't that great IMO, the only thing that looks interesting is the new campaign.

And the swimsuit... Not only is it another swimsuit, it's literally just a recolor of the vivid bikini... With the colors removed. A decolor.

Considering I'm a huge Lunar fan I do love Toshiyuki Kubooka's art for the series from way back in the day.

Annin Doufu is also great, and I also don't like the newer art style used in the anime and Million Live. The facial proportions are really weird.

I also agree on "potential", but I think the Million Live girls have more potential than Cinderella Girls. They just need a CHANCE to be fleshed out.

I'm also not a fan of Cinderella Girls because the characters just feel like gimmicks. I do like a lot of the characters in Million Live, they feel more like the main idols, but the fanservice is kind of... Yeah.

I do like SideM seeing as how that's pretty much the only choice with male idols, I just wish it could have been done as a portable vita game first or something instead of relying on "CARD GAME!!!1"

Hmm, I could hear a little of a Slayers-y tone to it.

Hm, well more fantasies about this kind of game...

I'm trying to think of what the social aspect would be like. You do play as a producer, not an idol, but there should be a way to distinguish each player from each other. I was thinking of having the design for producer be like the fanon/puchimas version, with the big P for a head. Except you can customize the color scheme of the P-head producer, have the option of being a female producer with office-lady attire under the P-head, and you can buy all sorts of crazy hats for your producer to wear. You just pimp your producer with hats and accessories, pretty much. XD And I imagine there would be producer hat gachas. The way producers are distinguished is through the color scheme and the hats. There would definitely be Namco themed hats, like Klonoa's hat, Prince of All Cosmos heads, Wonder Momo and Dig Dug helmets, etc.

Aaaand. I don't think the game could be limited to female idols, maybe you can make male idols, too. And units don't even have to be limited to just one sex, you can try making units of mixed sexes and see how that turns out.

The default floral/luxury/starry costumes for your custom idols depend on the personality picked. All tsundere idols have this design, all dojikko idols have this design, etc.

Good luck? I am not even going to attempt to dream at creating this, this is just my theory/wishful thinking of what an iM@S MMO would be like.

My idea for how a MMO version of iM@S would be like... Just a pipe dream, this is never going to happen in a million years.

In the iDOLM@STER Online, you don't produce 765. You don't produce Cinderella Girls, Million Live, or any of those. Instead, you create your own idol in a very in-depth character creator. You can choose from dozens of personalities and voices for your idol, and even play around with the pitch a la The Sims 3. And of course you can make more than one have a unit.

The gameplay will be much like the console games, including the raising and communication, except with a multiplayer aspect. When you go do a festival, you're actually competing against another player's idol. But you can also make friends and collaborate with other producers, such as pairing up your idols with them.

Costumes would be given out through gachas, and you can also get special idols through gacha, including 765 idols.

The song selection would be all standard songs from the console games like Go My Way, Kiramekirari, Ready!!, you know. There might be a song gacha, too.
