There's a possiblilty that they'll treat The World Is All One like i and have different instrumental versions of it.

The BGM (at least, in parts) is different for the idols in i, similar to how LOBM had different BGM per idol-pair iirc. It does. Some of the differences are subtle, but play Makoto's "i", and then play Ami's. You'll hear it.

Oh well yeah. I guess when I hear "instrumental" I think "karaoke" and "i" never had a karaoke except on master box something so yeah ;; my bad I guess. It would be nice if they made the versions a bit different but I'm not sure if they'd opt to that considering "the world is all one" is the game's theme song, basically.

Well, kind of like how "GO MY WAY!!" was iM@S360's main-kinda song. THE iDOLM@STER (the song) wasn't shown in promos nearly as much as GO MY WAY, if at all...

(though if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. I didn't see the promo videos until after the game was out, because I got into iM@S late haha)

It was just an impression. I mean, it has "THE iDOLM@STER" as its name and the game's name is "THE iDOLM@STER". At a glance anyone would think it's the main song

I'm one of those "anyone" by the way...

There's a short preview of Smoky Thrill on the website with no adequately explained reason why they're previewing a song we've already heard instead of Chikutaku or Koisuru Mikata

Although I'd rather have a preview of Chikutaku because I really don't like Ritsuko

The Smoky Thrill preview sounds pretty bad imo. :( I was pretty sure the master version would be the greatest thing since sliced raisin bread.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. It isn't bad, but I like the version in the PV a lot more.

The voices sound kind of...off?

Maybe I give it "bad" status because my favorite character sounds like she's singing with a cold or something XD Even giving it some lenience...I like the in-game / PV-version more, as well.

It's me or Asami Shimoda just tried a bit too hard into being Ami there in the preview?

For once, for me, everyone singing together ALL THE TIME beats everyone getting their part evenly.

I guess I'll start recording Smoky Thrill from that PV now.

Also, they didn't even consider a separate album for Ami, Iori, and Azusa? Blasphemy!

This is an outrage! I want a single for Iori!

I must have bad ears or something because I thought it was pretty good...

Just that the instrumentals sound a bit more lively in the PV, but that was me.

hell my first thought of listening to the preview was, 'damn azusa sounds sexy...'

Azusa does sound really hot orz

Inorite? Even the sp series had singles for the 961 girls. And they were new girls that hadn't been around for 5+ years like the RK girls.

But no, we get a song by Ritsuko ["if you don't like her, too bad!"] and a song by Newkiho, Miki, and Yayoi [Why are they on here?]
