Community > General chatter
A number of proposals for the new forum
Scotty:
Get rid of anything and everything that would put one member above the other. In this case, Karma. Such a ridiculous idea, it doesn't stand for anything. Same goes for Ranks, or any other sort of title.
Get rid of the chit chat section, make General Chatter a forum that does not increase post count. Time and time again I have asked what the differences were between the two were and not once have I gotten an answer that made a lick of sense.

Speaking of which, I've barely seen their presence around here...

Well it's not harming anybody's experiences...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Drunken Watermelon:
Chit-Chat = you can spam in it, talk about stuff with no real structure.
General section = more organised, no spam, talk about stuff with a structure.

And if it has no use, throw it away.
The Chit-Chat section is a carbon copy of the last one from the late forum, and many problems from that forum stemmed from that very section. It has absolutely nothing of value, and this being an iM@S forum, it would only make sense that if you talk about iM@S, you get post count, not iM@S related? No post count.
All I'm saying is, there's no need to have two sections in which we talk about things unrelated to iM@S. The more sections we have that don't concern the topic, the more time people will spend on them and not the sections that could hold a substantial topic in them.
It happened before and there is no reason why it wouldn't happen again.

That's punishing people for not being 100% otakus. All quality posts should increase post count, which is why there's basically a "quality post forum" and a "no-quality post forum" which doesn't count posts.
