He was a role model to me. The way he took everything seriously, and how he strove to make perfection a physical object anyone could buy... Amazing.

I was never a personal Apple person (I'm too poor) but I can't deny that it's beautifully minimalistic design and interface is fantastic.
Apple has lost a great leader and visionary.

Guy was an icon, though I couldn't really say anything about him as a person.

Still, he was one of the most influential people of today's age, and for that, I will remember him. He's done more than most people can ever dream of, though I get the feeling the guy had better things to do than just dream. That's probably why he was who he was, after all...

I read an article saying that Steve left behind 4 years worth of products, so Apple should be okay without him for awhile. It's great to see that people here are still able to respect him and mourn the loss despite not being Apple users. When he passed I saw a great deal of Apple haters making jobs about Steve Jobs over on twitter. Glad to see people here aren't douches.

iTunes 10.5 supports transparency in PNG album art!  It looks pretty cool in Cover Flow.  If you want to try it out, here's a sample PNG with transparency.  Actually, I'm not sure if previous versions of iTunes supported PNG transparency too, I just noticed it after upgrading.   ;D

How's iOS 5 treating those who have it?  I'm waiting for an untethered jailbreak for various reasons first.

I just upgraded my iPod touch to iOS 5.  I haven't noticed any glitches so far, but I've only been using it for a few hours.  I'm kind of disappointed that Wi-Fi syncing requires that the iPod be plugged in to a power source.  I'm going to read more about the features in this update to see what's new.

Edit: Oops, I just found out that Wi-Fi syncing doesn't require the iPod to be plugged in!

Edit 2: Hm.  It appears that Wi-Fi syncing only works if the iPod is still in the iTunes sidebar.  This is confusing.

Yeah, it's actually pretty confusing. Which is weird from Apple, since they like making everything simple.

I, too, at first thought it had to be plugged in, then not, and then sometimes it just disappears from the sidebar for no reason.

These are Sony MDR-V6 headphones (I put them on my display):

They're not noise canceling but they seal out outside noise pretty well.  They sound pretty good straight out of a MacBook or an iPod.  I've been using them for almost a month now and they've been improving because of the burn-in effect.  On my MacBook I use an excitifier VST effect to bring out the upper harmonics.  They have a higher sensitivity than some other 'phones, so I can hear a soft hiss coming from my MacBook's headphone out, but it's not too distracting.  They look like Chihaya's headphones in episode four of the anime, except there's no silver ring on them, and the blue indicator is on the left instead of the right.

Oooh... Sonys. You have any other headphones that you could compare them against?

Myself, I got a pair of Audio Technica ESW-9's for at home use (had them for about a year), and they're a really nice set of cans I think. Not really bass-heavy by any stretch of the imagination, but I prefer it that way.

Thing is, I'm busy playing on my PSP, and have recently found out that listening to the built-in speakers is just... well, I can't do it anymore, the ATs are that much better.

These are my other headphones: Koss KSC75, Sennheiser MX880, Apple earbuds+mic.  The Koss KSC75 comes closest to the Sonys in sound quality.  With some CDs recorded in a concert hall (like this, and this) when I use the Koss 'phones it sounds like I'm on stage with the artists, it's amazing; no effects or EQ necessary.  The Sonys are almost as good on those CDs, they just don't reproduce the ambience of the hall as well.  This could be due to the titanium coated diaphragms, which the Sonys lack.  However there are occasions where the Sonys have better instrument detail; I can hear that a flute is a wooden flute, with the KSC75 it just sounds like any other flute.  For studio recordings like idolmaster CDs, where a lot of the music is produced artificially, I definitely prefer the Sonys.  They've got more bass (which I do like when listening to idolmaster music) and are more powerful in general, the KSC75 sounds small in comparison.

Thing is, I'm busy playing on my PSP, and have recently found out that listening to the built-in speakers is just... well, I can't do it anymore, the ATs are that much better.
I have a PSP too but I haven't used it in a while.  I bought a bunch of games for it but I've only played two of them for a good amount of time.  Those are Final Fantasy VII and Wipeout Pure (or was it Wipeout Pulse?).  Can you recommend some good PSP games?

Edit: Changed the word "reverberations" to "ambience"
