Cael K.:
So, the Microsoft Kinect SDK was just released! Now you can use it to create your own games and apps that use the Kinect! All you need is programming experience in C++ or C#.

So who here is excited for this?!?

... Okay, I'll admit nothing really springs to mind for me, either. But it still is interesting. Sample code is provided, it seems, so you can start there.

EDIT: For those of you curious as to what else is out there, try OpenNI. Lemme warn you and say not to build it from source using Visual C++ 2008, you don't get devenv.exe with it, and the build script expects you to have it. But don't mind me, I'm not venting...

EDIT 2: Long story short, it looks like the build script might work with a little modification if you're building the 32-bit version, but I've had to jump through quite a few hoops to pin down those modifications. Seriously, who distributes a build script that doesn't even compile?

... Wait, don't answer that question, I already know the answer, I just don't want to hear it. Looks like it's off to the binaries for me...

Steve Jobs was a innovator, a entrepreneur, and more importantly, an icon that will changed our lives forever by creating three of his innovations: the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. And now, Steve is now no longer live in this world, and his legacy will live on forever, but the future of Apple is still in bright light.

Thank you Steve Jobs, and goodbye...
