Same here. If I had to call, Yayoi would've been the more....synergic idol to group with the two.

The Ami and Mami disc's being used to show the differences between them. Since we've seen they can both be on stage at the same time, I get the feeling their must be some difference between them song/dance-wise ( apart from the probable starting stats ).
The Kotori cd just being their cause Kotori hasn't gotten a cd in a while and yeah :) might show off more of her song/songs + her past. Plus the fact that she's in the group image makes me wonder.

You forgot Azusa and Iori.

(no matter how I think about the remaining idols, all of the groupings feel a bit...odd)
Either that, or they'd have Ami/Mami, Yayoi, Iori (loli-trio CD?), then Yukiho, Ritsuko, and Azusa.
Don't want to leave Kotori out, but she did get a song on the first CD...

with an 'Epilogue' CD just like the prologue CD, with another Kotori track.
