I thought you couldn't download anime/game songs on itunes.

I think there's rules, restrictions, and a bunch of other things behind it. I've bought and downloaded Animelo's 2009 Theme Song (Re-bridge - Return to Oneself), so it's not completely out of the question... I think Bonnie Pink's Ring A Bell is also on iTunes (which served as USToV OP).
In the end, it's probably up to Columbia (or the microsoft thing)...

I think if it's released seperately as an actual song as opposed to the opening of an anime. But I know nothing in this territory so yeah.

The original and request titles for Iori and Mami will be released on the 4th.
The actual CDs will be released on April 13th.
