I didn't think of posting it in the anime thread. ^^; It's an anime movie, so I guess it might be OK here. I need to check out some of Shinkai's other works too.

Has anyone else seen Frozen? I didn't like it quite as much as Tangled. Frozen went by so fast (even though it's 8 minutes longer than Tangled, according to IMDB) and I felt like the only character we got to know well enough was Anna. There were still some good points, though; like the scenes with Elsa and Anna as children, the beautiful character models, and how Anna was saved in the end.

I just saw Gravity (starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney) and it could've been a little better, but just a little. It's not a movie I'd want to own, but it's worth a rent.

20000 Days On Earth

Kind of a "a day in life" movie about Nick Cave. Was really good overall, but the performances (both in the studio and during concerts) were just PHE-NO-ME-NAL.
Highly recommended.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

God I fucking love this movie; little things like that are what bring out so much. Definitely going to miss Joss Whedon come Infinity War. Moreover to boons, Natasha's raw history has me now on the Black Widow boat for sure. This film humanizes Barton so much more, too. Finally, Ultron needs no explanation as I feel he's possibly flawless as any antagonist could be undertaken. Outstanding voice.

Just saw The Force Awakens... and I was pretty disappointed. I don't think it's as strong as J. J. Abrams' Star Trek films (but those, too, had their problems). It's possible that I feel this way because I've only seen The Force Awakens once, and I'll like it more on subsequent viewings, but I wish it had made a better first impression.

Just saw a pretty good movie called Stander.  Also watched Red Cliff parts 1 and 2 recently.(the film where "Kuon no Kawa" from Azusa MA3 album originated from)  I love these kinds of Chinese movies about ancient lore and learning more about their rich cultural history.(even if it isn't completely accurate)  Everything's just so elegant and over-exaggerated and it's so damn cool! XD

New Spiderman looks awesome!(sounds so young! )  I still miss the old Tobey Spidey tho.  I feel like his dorkiness would've been a nice addition to this already amazing cast. XD
