Still not playing video games, just watching a bunch of anime and reading manga.
GATE - Really good series, though it has its flaws. The characters are great, though for some reason I find the supporting cast more interesting than most of the main characters. It's at its best when the Imperials are involved... though put another way, it's narrative takes a hit whenever the focus is away from Imperial politics. This is most obvious in the fire dragon arc (episodes... 14 - 17, I think? Either way, I consider it the worst part of the series.). It was pretty templated and all the new supporting female characters looked the same, so I couldn't tell who was doing what. It's pro-JSDF overtones sometimes reach levels bordering on ridiculousness, but the author was a former JSDF member, so that's to be expected. Also, Kuribayashi looks like Ami Futami.
Kono Subarashii (ika ryaku) - Fan servicey, but the comedy is amazing and the action serves to fuel more hilarity. Other than said fan service, I'm having a hard time thinking of any faults with the show at all. It's a parody of JRPGs, so if you play a lot of them, you'll get all the little jokes they make better.
Danchigai - A cute little anime short.
What has piqued my interest from this season:
Mayoiga, Kiznaiver, Re:Zero, Stray Dogs, Kumamiko, Bakuon, Flying Witch, Joker Game, Unhappy, All People on Teh Interwebs are Male until Proven Female (even with the sarcasm, I like this title better)
What I will avoid like the plague:
Ace Attorney because I will never get used to the names, I suck at legal Japanese, and I already know what happens.
FF because I stopped caring about that series years ago.
Sailor Moon unless I'm drinking with friends.
Maybe I should start an anime list or something on one of those sites.
