What Anime Are You Watching Now?
Scotty:
Summer Wars was great, agreed. Fun all around.
mastersteve89:
Watching Hellsing. Good to see some REAL vampires. Stupid-ass twilight
Been also watching K-on. Only half way through it but it's been great so far.
Trance Blossom:
I'm glad to not be the only one who actually like K-On, haha. It seems to have a bad rep among most good anime fans :(
Also am I the only one who thinks this story arc of Railgun is unusually predictable?

I'm guessing it's because it's a very popular anime. As something gets more popular, the more likely you're going to find haters. Take a look at other popular media, like Modern Warfare 2, for example.
Cienedit: Actually, you wouldn't have to look very far for an example, either. Mio's the most popular character in the show, and look how Scotty feels about her. I'm sure there are others that feel the same way. ;)
Mabz:
In regaurds to K-on!, I do not hate the series, I just don't understand why it is so popular. It doesn't do anything exceptional, the art isn't "edgy" or completely different from most other animes being released (but some how the art style seems to be infecting others)
The humor is on par with any other series in the genre, and this is where my problem comes is that this series does not do anything I haven't seen done in anime before. I have seen similar gags where the girls play cutesy with random objects, I have seen the running gag of where a person is forced into an unknown situation and satire commences.
I probably have posted my opinion on K-On! a few times before, and just to specify there is a reasonable desire in popularity of something that brings about a unique fad or new trend, and simply I don't see K-on! bringing anything new to the anime scene.
