i know its japanese but is it kanjen or what charters is it mostly im going to get missing moon soon so i need to learn it soon

It's Japanese so a mix of everything.  Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana.  If you know Katakana, it helps in a lot of basic areas like recognizing Vocal, Dance, Visual whenever it shows up in the game (like on items or songs).  If you know the rundown on how to play and what is what, you'll figure the game out easily without having to learn the language.  The only times you would really need to know the language is if you want to read the communications/promotions.  However if you look around you should find enough resources to help you play

Idolm@ster, aside from the fact that the game will advance text on you automatically (and only automatically), isn't that hard a read/listen compared to other things. You can pause the game and try to read the text, even during timed choices, if you can't read that fast and couldn't pick up what they were saying. If you're comfortable with casual speak, then the game isn't that hard to understand for the most part.

However, if you're coming from knowing nothing at all...

... I won't pull my punches: it takes a few years to get things down if you take your Japanese casually, so all most people would probably get starting out is a few words here and there, I'd think. Video games are good for your Japanese, I can say, but to really get anything out of it, you need to know grammar pretty well.

Alright, let me rephrase that.

If you're fine with not really understanding anything going on, you can get by with just knowing a few words here and there so you know what's what. If you want to understand things, though... you'll need a solid grasp of grammar, which can take a while. There are online resources to help with that sort of thing, and dictionaries aren't hard to find or look up words with.

It's a really painful road to follow if you're going to do that, but it'll shape up your Japanese. You'll have to put in a lot of effort for this, I won't lie.

ok thanks ever one expect for some people >.> anyways so the game is in all japanese forms il start learning it soon and the reason i made this thread is because theres some game that are only Katakana and Hiragana or  Kanji Hiragana so i was hoping to learn 2 of them and done but i gusse not anyways thanks
