Anime Expo 2010

Even though the convention is almost over, I be posting a thread about it anyways.
X Japan was there at the Nokia theater but the event had nothing to do with Anime Expo which was kind of lolwut...
Also Kurosaki Ichigo's CV and AKB48 were there.
Despite me spending 5 hours in the exhibition hall those were the only events I went to lol.
Stuff was overpriced this year, 8.50 for a small Quizno's sub... not just food, but merchandise as well.
So whoever went, how was it you guys, what did you think? :K

I went Friday and caught the May'n/Megumi Nakajima concert.

Megumi singing the Macross Plus song 'Voices' was awesome, but then again the whole experience was great.

I held much constraint on purchases (as my personal bank account is tight as of late ><) but ended up buying the Toradora DVD set for Yui Horie to sign, and according to her signiture it is spelled "Hory".

Should I go next year hopefully my financial situation will be more optimal for purchases ><.

I thought about getting that Mugi figure, but I wanted to see how the Beach Queens one looked like. Now, I'm thinking the Alter one instead.

Next time I splurge, I think I'll be picking up that... and maybe some Precious Memories cards just to see how it works.

$25? Wow... Your haggling skills are amazing. They may have made no profit off that.

In fact... that sale could've been in the red for them. It depends how they got it, I guess.

they were selling them for $30, the store was at the end of isle 900
the cheapest store ever, the big tiger outfit tsuruya figure for like $40 and figmas for $30 as well unlike some places who sell them for 49.
the touhou store was selling a sanae figure for $40 when i went to another store and they were selling it for $20.

Okay, well if they were willing to sell the figure for $30, then I'm guessing they managed to get it pretty cheap. Still, I'd expect to pay that much (25 dollars or 2200 yen) or a bit more if I bought it in a random figure store in Japan (if I'm remembering prices correct, they were 2480 yen at best a few months ago), and that's without even worrying about shipping.

nope but i can tell you that the store was encased in a black cage and they were selling figures not gundams lol, it was close to the end of the exhibition hall.

Aah, that's too bad. I'm nowhere near California, so I didn't get to go.

Maybe I should look up figure distributors online and see what prices I can come up with.
