L4U game download in Marketplace?

well, I was checking my japanese xbox live and I went to L4U and I saw it for sale.
it was 2,450 yen (in US terms, about 25 bucks) and it took up 4.51 gigs of space.
since you can download it from the marketplace, do you still need a japanese xbox even though?

Im not sure about downloading it from an American Xbox. Though theoretically speaking one could download the game and then using a hard-drive transfer cable transfer it over to an American  hard-drive/Xbox.

I think you still need a Japanese Xbox to be able to play The iDOLM@STER/L4U because they're still region locked

the transfer cable lets you copy files from one hard-drive to another. If you have a demo or video or in some cases a full game then you can copy it from one hard-drive and paste it onto another. So [IN THEORY] you could transfer over idolm@ster if you got it from Xbox Marketplace. Although keeping in mind what everyone else said it might not work. The files would be on your hard-drive though that is for certain. Of course we won't know for sure what'll happen until someone tries it.

Theoretically speaking one could then take those files and also put them in a computer. which would allow for the possibility of editing. IN THEORY

I've installed iM@S on my hard drive and then tried it out on my friend's 360.  No luck.
With that in mind, I don't think transferring it will get past the region lock.  The game data's the one that is region locked after, not the disc, and not just the download.

That is impossible simple. Wasting 25 bucks is bad for your wallet.
Save for Conventions or just buy a japanese xbox 360(200$ at least)

Well i guess its just like BP's oil solution good in theory terrible in practice. However IN THEORY it should be possible to use the transfer cable to upload the files into a computer what happens after that who knows.

Otherwise, I'm just imagining things when I see my Idolm@ster themes on by 360, and completely making up mail from idols in my mind. I didn't think my Japanese was that good...

The card thing isn't Namco, that's Microsoft. It doesn't have to be a Japanese credit/debit card. It does need to have a Japanese address though. I've been using my US debit card for my Japanese XBL account for purchases. Course my card expired and now I have to plug in my new card and new non-Japan address. The suck.

I'd be surprised if Microsoft doesn't.
