E3 2010

Cien Laguoire:
Yes, that is correct, Sev. The slim 360s have built-in wireless capabilities. :)
And for anyone interested in getting the new model, but have the old one, I believe there's a trade-in program in effect now at Gamestop. I don't know the details, but there may be information at their website.

--- Quote from: Scotty on June 17, 2010, 10:59:26 am ---...the 360 is an incredible machine that has chugged along for a good 5 years with no signs of slowing down.

From all the press conferences, I've gathered that I'll be picking up kinect for child of Eden, and a 3ds.

Right now, for me there isn't enough interesting software for Kinect that will get me to buy one as of right now. The tech is pretty neat, but there isn't enough games for the core player to enjoy right now. We'll just have to see what comes later.

And it seems the 360 is losing steam when it comes to exclusives that aren't for Kinect. This year, I've only seen Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 being exclusive for the system. There's still multiplatform games, but exclusives really help keep people interested in playing on a particular console, and after their conference, I wouldn't be surprised if some Xbox 360 fans have jumped ship.

Scotty:
Cien is forgetting that the 360 came out in 2005 and it still manages to have the same multi platform games as the ps3.

If that's not chugging along, I don't know what is.

R-9A Arrowhead:
Cien's also forgetting that PS3 is still "NO GAEMS"-station regardless of what Sony revealed at E3.

Cien Laguoire:
-0/10 - The Xbot is strong in you, but the joke is old and stupid. You even own a PS3 and don't have a 360, man. Something ain't right with that picture.
Sony had games. They just skimmed through a good portion of them in those video montages, which is a bit of a letdown, and the demos they showed were stuff already announced pre-E3, aside from Twisted Metal.

And while the 360 still has the same multiplatform games, some would prefer to play them on a system that's cheaper to buy and more reliable, though the new 360 model may change that a bit. Still need to buy a Live subscription, though.
