I didn't think the DLC catalogs for the second game could get any worse. This is quite a new low :<
To those who are eating this up, enjoy spending your msp on this, but really? This is all recycled and not a lot of effort into it, but I guess that's just DLC these days. The same bathing suits you've bought before in older games with only a slight gimmick, odd accessories, and a throwback song from SP's sendoff catalog? I mean it was odd enough they did a Halloween themed DLC catalog (COME ON, YOU KNOW IT WAS) months before October. While this is fitting since it's summer, it just makes me wonder if they have any direction with the DLC at all or if it'll end up reselling old content.
To be entirely honest, I don't doubt that the catalogs will dwindle down to them re-selling old stuff. It's come to that in every game sans the original iM@S360, you know? And that's only because there wasn't anything old to re-sell XD
LOBM may be a "throwback song from SP's sendoff catalog", but despite it not being never-been-seen-or-heard brand new, it's new to the 360 -- new to trios and duos, and shiny HD graphics.
I can't hound them too much for the new catalogs so far -- I mean, we've had 4 catalogs of brand-new songs and original costumes, so it's not like they're starting off by selling old stuff. Now, if they had started off selling things we already have on consoles (i.e. the missing MA songs, Arcade songs, L4U Extends, etc. for max price), I'd be in an uproar, too.
You know, if we could connect with the Japanese fanbase to "strike" against buying rehashed / super-expensive DLC and enough people actually skipped out on it, maybe NBGI would push their creative department to your satisfaction (or at least lower prices? *wishful thinking*), but until something drastic like that happens, I can't see NBGI changing anything. :s I just hope iM@S2 catalogs don't get as bad as the end of SP's XD The catalogs where they were taking costumes from other stuff were painful.
