Obviously, the girls can compete with that. It's called "because the plot allows them too". If you're asking if Jupiter will be out-staged, well that will depend on your producing skills.

An unbeatable opponent would be really bad, and then there wouldn't really be a point in having the opponent there in the first place anyways. We all know that in the end, no matter how awesome 961 may be, 765 always wins and Kuroi fails. Does the man have any pride? No. But do his idols put on great performances? Yes.

I was thinking about the girls doing backflips and the...*cough* panty-shots, but them jumping around in high-heels and all kinds of other crazy outfits...it would take quite a bit of skill. Gymnastics Hell Training time?I could picture Makoto, Yayoi, and Hibiki maybe succeeding because they're more athletic, but Haruka? No, just no. It would be cool, but...given her history, it wouldn't turn out well.

Looking at these videos, are there small changes in some of the new songs depending on which idol is singing at the time?

By that I mean some songs have the singing idol doing something very obviously singing, if another was singing at the time it would look so very out of place - so, if that character isn't singing, would they do something more generic? In a trio singing a quintet song, does one of the three do something instead where a fourth or fifth get a solo?

...I haven't explained myself well at all in my lack of sleep at 4.30am. The tl;dr question should probably be "Those singing positions look ridged, can you change who sings when and does it make a difference to the dance motion?"

I don't think it changes the dance. But I do agree, I've seen several videos (i.e. Little Match Girl) where the same unit member sings the same lines consistently (i.e. "heroine wa watashi" is always done as a solo. I have yet to see it fully sung by all the idols on the stage).

Hopefully the player still has control over that...
