I know this was a couple pages back, but just out of curiosity (a simple response without explanation will suffice) what is the difference between the asian version of im@s and the japanese version besides price?

(I'm not planning on purchasing this game for a while)

Oh, I can answer this one! I believe aside from price, there's an English part in the Asian versions game manual. Though most of the gameplay elements have been translated onto this topic here. If you feel like searching the pages. =P

Aside from that... uh, I don't really think there is any difference gameplay-wise.

Unless Miki gets her special little plot like in the first game. =P Though that's really just wishful thinking on my part. I rather like Awakened Miki and her brunette-ness.

Or maybe Awakened Miki can be unlocked through a specific combination of Unit Members! (Like Project Fairy 765 version for example)

Ah well, whatever, I'll still crush the opposition regardless. And I already have in mind with whom.

The tension thing that will be a bit of a mystery for now.

Ah anyway, even if Hibiki or Yayoi as the third member, I need to set up something of a solid starting gameplan for when the game is released.

Judging from statistics, with the current trio, the 'weaklink stat' would be either Vocal or Visual. Though in the end, this largely is based on what Takane and Hibiki's overall stats are. Chances are, due to tension, I might just use Yayoi as the third instead.

Takane's strongest stat would be Vocal, but even with that supporting the total, Makoto and Yayoi's Vocal skills are rather... lacking in the beginning. Makoto and Hibiki are the ones who have the best Dance starting stat, and it is also Yayoi's highest starting stat (though that isn't saying much), so it should be covered for a little while.

Hm, still need to work out the details, and it may all just change depending on the game itself and what is reveal.

Either way, should be... interesting. Ufufu~

Eh, I can't decide which trio I'd go with. I might just go with my favorite idols [Mami, Chihaya, and Miki] but that might sound weird on-stage. On a first playthrough I might go with the Project Fairy girls.

I'd like to have stuck with my trio of favorite characters (my HaMaRi -- Haruka, Ami/Mami, and Ritsuko...though jumbled from 'priority' order) but Ritsuko got yanked, so I'll go with Mami, Haruka, and Takane (which is 'priority' order...though MaHaTa sounds weird. TaMaHa? HaTaMa? It just doesn't work the same).

I don't usually plan my groups around stats...I just pick whatever I like

Plus, I don't know if there are any trios that sound actually -bad-. I know one time in L4U, I picked 3 random idols for a trio to see what they'd sound like -- it ended up being Yayoi, Yukiho, and Ritsuko. Surprisingly, they still sounded good.

Nah, I saw Ami and Azusa's names began with A, so they can be used the elongate the word. Think of them as the squigglies at the end. ^^;
