I kind of hope they linked your stats/song/clothes/acc from iDOLM@STER to iDOLM@STER 2.  It would be nice to carry those over to the new iDOLM@STER

B-But Aria, then you would completely own the competition which includes RK, and then you would get a sad sad Ritsuko ]:  You wouldn't want that would you?!

Actually, I think that would be cool if they linked something from 1 -> 2; gives the fans a little incentive or something.

Dear Lord! I just saw PV 6, can't believe I missed it. Little Match Girl, HO!

I like how it's possible for individual idols to sing within the group (I've never seen an in-game video with only one idol singing in a group), really adds to the depth

And Asakura Azumi sounds amazing there

Also, long-hair clipping :D

Really? I don't know about iM@S360 specifically, but I know it was definitely possible to select which idols sing which lines in L4U!.

Though, like animagic4u said, Ami cutting in halfway through Miki's line is very new. Before, each line was sung fully by whichever idols you picked to do so.

Oh... I guess I demonstrated my idiocy again. Well, no use using editto no jutsu

Eh, showing that Little Match Girl video to anyone would blast that "girly game" stereotype off. It is awesome. Dear Lord.

Really pleasantly surprised by Little Match Girl. I was expecting something like Omoide wo Arigato or Aoi Tori.

And I'm impressed with how new!Yukiho sung that.

Thirteen 2 minute audio tracks don't take up much space as long as you're not being lazy and just using PCM WAV as your audio source.

I remember being surprised at how little space was taken up by some PS2 games. Can't remember exact figures, though.

I'll disagree here. I'm sure the audio takes up a ton of space, as evidenced by past DLC size. Multiple channels, different vocals, and I'm not too sure about this, but, surround sound as well? I don't remember if the past games supported that, but that takes space too!

I'm just thinking back on SP. The DLC was like 2.5 MB an idol (32 MB or so for everyone), definitely compressed, and definitely with the dance as well. Can't remember anything about sound quality, though, and it was probably just stereo sound.

But I just looked at L4U's DLC. 800 MB a song? On plain stereo? What the crap? The dances can't take that much space, that can't be compressed sound we're listening to. I guess Im@s needs CD quality sound more than other games, but still... there were like 10 songs that came with the game (I think?), and I guess with the size of the DLC here, it's really obvious they filled the disc with as high quality as they could get away with. You want more songs and better graphics, we'll have to do something about this.

Like compress the source. You could probably bump it down to like 20 MB per idol (for the short, in-game version) and most people wouldn't be able to tell. That's me being generous too, even if it's just an estimate.

I'm sorry, but I'm slowly becoming an audiophile, and I would hate to have compressed audio in a game that centers around music.

Well, it's not like I don't understand. ^^;

I still think that you can tone down the size without too much noticability, and it's okay by me if it's just a little. But well... (checks real quick) lossless compression will still net you around 40 MB for 5 minutes of stereo, at least for me. So I don't think it's too bad if it means you can squeeze more stuff in the game.

I wonder if the XBox likes that. Meh, whatever.  'Course, surround sound'll still kill that estimate in so many ways if it's in. ^^;

I just noticed Yukiho in 2 has slightly longer hair.
Seems like Makoto's hair was also updated a tad bit from the first PVs.

You know, maybe they should've changed Yukiho's look since she got a different voice actor. I think people would have an easier time accepting that Yukiho MKII has to sound different XD

I don't know what else they could've done with Yukiho to make her still look like Yukiho, though. :( Maybe subtle two-toned hair or something?

Cant believe I missed PV6 while i was not checking here for a few days!
But still I think it was great, the second half was the best for me, Little Match Girl, my favourite trio and really nice costumes, the red/blue-green version of the cosmic costume is now my favourite by far.

Now I want a time warp to Feb 24th so I can play it lol.

Btw/ot: I now have an asia xbox and played L4U for first time a few moments ago.
Never before have I had such bad hand - brain - eye co-ordination, and my best voltage score was a pathetic 3%
. I was tired though lol. But seeing my lovely waifus in awesome HD on a big screen was just amazing.

It might not be your fault; could just be that your HDTV has horrible display lag. Check to see if there's a "Game Mode" or turn off as many fanciful graphics processing crap under your HDTV settings.

The original iDOLM@STER also suffered from this issue during the vocal training mini-game and audition (if you were on a high-tempo song) components.

Most rhythm games also have some sort of lag-compensation setting, but I don't think iMAS or L4U has that, IIRC. If not you can just manually time your button presses earlier or later (follow the beat/rhythm instead of relying on the on-screen indicators).

New creatures you collect and trade. You can pit them against each other and make them level up and grow stronger.

@ the o(ff)t because I'm lazy to quote: my god, I feel the same way about L4U -- I thought I was okay at rhythm games and the sort, but when I started L4U it made me think otherwise ]:  I don't have much of a lag delay since I'm playing on my laptop (although, to hit perfects I do have to time it like a fraction early than following it with eyes).  Don't let that 3% voltage pull you down, you get better over a short period of time.

Oh and Agent Yoru wo Yuku is like hell -- I think it's the only song I still haven't gotten 100%+ voltage...

now on topic:

Those things are like some sort of mascots (from namco? I don't really know) that you get from each "state" you visit in the game.  I think it said there are 48 of them?
