So there really isn't Ami and Mami on the stage at the same time! That's sad. :c

I guess the only positive is that the "rival" costumes look pretty awesome....wait a sec.

With produce-able idols...so maybe they aren't entirely off limits.

Anyway, as for the cute-and-girly costumes...they aren't as good as I expected, though not horrible. I think they'd look better in some different colors (i.e. Snow Strawberry? Wonder what happened to that).

My thoughts? Ami, Azusa, Ritsuko and Iori are unlockable characters.

Note that we have 8 idols to use and theirs 4 'other' idols.
Perhaps every 2 has the ability to unlock one through the story?
Mami + Yayoi = Ami? for example

Its not much different to the PSP version where we had to unlock Miki, Hibiki and Takane.

Just checked the PV's also.
They never once refer to you as their producer.
Ritsuko says she'll help you ( sounds more like a friend then a rival? rofl )
Azusa calls you an idol?
Ami refers to Mami, so their appears to be some connection between them storyline wise.
and Iori is just ordering you around...so nothings changed.

Iori is in the middle too, making her the leader! XD

In my opinion:

Unlocking Azusa:
Chihaya storyline - They're best friends

Unlocking Ami:
Mami storyline - siblings

Unlocking Iori:
Miki storyline - Rivals
or
Takane storyline - Finds Iori amusing

Unlocking Ritsuko:
Unlock all 3 of her idols

OR

they will pull the Dream C Club approach,

You can unlock them in game
OR
Buy them as DLC

But what would be the individual idol storylines with a minimum of 3-idol units? Having that character as the leader...?

Well, either way...they have to be useable. They were in the PVs dancing, all have the cute-and-girly costumes...If they had made those 4 entirely unusable, I wouldn't know what to think.

Wonder why it was those 3 (Ritsuko wanted to work in the office/be a producer rather than an idol anyway, didn't she?). I would think they'd just take some idols out of the group of whichever you weren't using and make a random CPU unit-thing...

... Wait, does this mean that you interact with them all no matter who you're producing? That... actually kinda sounds good. But... I want to produce... Azusa...

Two theories: unlockable Ryuuguu Komachi scenario, with all four.

Or, there's that suspicious looking Kuroi-shachou in the corner... so, let's see. You can only choose three idols to start with, and that's it, no matter what your producer rank is. Later, Kuroi-shachou does some underhanded stuff, and to beat him, you pick two Ryuuguu Komachi idols to join you for a five-person idol team. Unity is strength, right?

Also, Jimusho mode. And here I was wondering why we didn't see those four in the first PV, it all makes sense.

Even with Ami, Iori, and Azusa in the rival group (with Ritsuko as Producer), I don't think NBGI would really take them out entirely as a possibility of producing.

If they were going to, they wouldn't have showed us them on stage with the idols we CAN produce, nor would Ami and Ritsuko be with the other idols in the screenshot on the page. Like swiftnissity said, they're probably unlockable or something.

I wouldn't jump the gun and say they can't be produced at all, yet. After all, that's really denying all fans of Iori, Azusa, and Ritsuko (and, I suppose they can cover a bit by having one Futami twin playable, but using Mami just to replace Ami seems a bit...wrong XD).

They should be unlockable characters. They were on stage in the 2nd pv so I think Ami, Azusa, Ritsuko, and Iori will be unlockable characters.

... I find especially weird because I'd already decided that, if I were to have the game, I'd pick Takane, Ritsuko, and either Chihaya or Hibiki... Or both, preferably...

I really dislike these new "cute and girly" costumes they're really odd...they kinda remind me of the Dearly Stars costumes a bit.

The rival costumes look cool. They remind me of that last DLC costume for the SP series. The cute & girly costumes remind me of fairies.
