Though I secretly hope The tR@INMASTER isn't going to be released in February 2011 XD

But the longer it takes for them to release it, the longer we'll have to wait for Train For You! D=
Yay~! Work on my first song is starting~ I can't wait to see how cute it'll turn out~ Let's hope for lots of sales~ <33

Eh, as great as those two would be, I'd just wait for tRAINM@S SP.  Portable train raising sounds nice.

And it'd be region free train raising, too...

I enjoyed doing auditions like in Office Mode (especially the ones with the special rules to them) but L4U style has its pros in that 1: you don't have to do anything to watch the performance and 2: your idol won't fall over or skip lines during the song (or have a visual accident...which really has no effect XD)

What I wonder is if they have an Office/L4U mode, is if they'll still have a 3-idol minimum.

Biggest problem with office mode I think is being stuck with just one idol, and that my lovable Yukiho is unfortunately incapable of going more than 25 seconds without either falling flat on her face, having clothing issues or forgetting a line. Every time she falls down I cringe, it looks soo painful, I feel bad making her do performances. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but after like 10+ videos shes still the same every time, the others don't seem to have anywhere near as many and there's a reasonable chance of an accident free performance. Chihaya is of course awesome in office mode.

I think from the sound of it (I have never played Live for you)  a new Live for you style mode would be better, and preferably without having to buy it separately lol I just want to be able to put 3 idols on stage, in a maid uniform and make them sing with a cool stage behind. Do that and I will buy lol

But the longer it takes for them to release it, the longer we'll have to wait for Train For You! D=
With downloadable stations, different length trains for more experienced Controllers, different signals (color light, multi function and semaphore), customisable engine sheds for 'maintenance mode'...

Eh, as great as those two would be, I'd just wait for tRAINM@S SP.  Portable train raising sounds nice.
For added realism, play your copy of "The TrainM@ster SP" while on a real train, buy your exact route and re-time your in-game journey to match, announce the next station to your fellow passengers with a cheer before the on-board system does...

... I should go work for Namco.

Are you saving your idol after you beat the game? Their stats and rank will stay that way, so you get less. With all of the idols I've beaten the game with so far (everyone except for Chihaya, Azusa, and Haruka) has accident-free performances.

I was about to say the same thing. A 2-page offtopic discussion about a MMD video within a major thread is kinda... stupid?

Not an MMD video; just the train going around the stage in the PV.

Though, I guess it's just forum-members talking since there isn't any new iM@S2 info as of late. The releases are few and far between, and the forum (iM@S-side, anyway) kinda dies in between those info releases XD

That would be the problem right there - as I haven't beaten the game yet, I am playing story mode with Yukiho at the moment but not doing very well lol.

Back to the subject of trains and cake... I mean PV2... I noticed the large screen at the back of the stage only ever showed the colour patterns, where in the previous games on the Xbox it would often cut to showing the girls on stage. I'm wondering if that's an indication of it not being quite ready yet, or if its just because its not really game play and just a PV made to look like it. Hopefully something like that and not an indication of running out of graphics / cpu power to run the screen as well.

Anyone want to guess when we might see PV3? If February 2011 is a target date maybe we'll see another in September?

Perhaps with the 5 idol thing they're still trying to work out that mechanic.

also, I think they were trying really hard to get the pvs out because it looks weird when you're a game developer this far into development and you don't have gameplay footage out.

Even with both of the PVs out, they're very similar. Same song, same costume, same stage, and...generally same setup XD The little conversation-bits are different, though similar.

I know they can't show us all of the stuff before the game comes out, but I hope potential-PV3 shows SOMETHING entirely new. I vote at least new costume. And maybe a new song.

Or a Danketsu preview?

Looking back, they never really do show that many trailers before the release of a game. It's only after, for the sake of DLC.

Yes, and they don't seems to create the trailer seriously anyway.
Better not expecting to see anything new until we try it ourselves, I guess.

I just want to know if the gameplay's changed. It probably hasn't.

But yeah, the game's still being made, they probably only had the chance to fine tune only a dance or two. I'm willing to bet that they finished the first PV some time ago, without dancing models for Azusa, Ritsuko, and Iori (and I guess Ami). They then were finished, and made the second when they realized they had enough time to do so.

That's my guess, at any rate. If I'm allowed to guess again, maybe around Winter sometime we'll see a more complete trailer. I think it's standard to do a teaser PV to show that a game's being made, then do another closer to release when everything's more or less not going to change before release.

EDIT: Oh yeah, anyone who can read Japanese can check out what non-Japanese people think about Im@s2's PVs, and what the Japanese think about what we think. Sadly, no Yurishii comments, though the vid does say that our comments are much the same.
