Characters from the first Idolmaster, as well as characters from Idolmaster SP and a couple new Idols, will be making up the game's roster, and everyone is said to have aged by one year.

The game, of course an Xbox 360 exclusive, is set for release in the spring of 2011.

The game itself is said to follow the same pattern as the first, but with the game starting 6 months after the girls’ debut rather than with it, and with the game starting with a 3 girl unit. The girls will have aged a year, perhaps a disappointment to the core fanbase.

Yukiho has changed.

- Yurishii is no longer Yukiho's seiyuu, and she has passed the baton to Asakura Azumi.

[On the bright side]
- You can create a unit with up to 5 idols!
- Azusa, Ritsuko and Iori, who weren't seen performing in the day 1 trailer, were seen performing on stage... they are still idols!
- VERY likely you can produce Ami and Mami in the same unit, as separate idols.

YES. I heard rumors Azusa and Ritsuko retired and were office workers, but hoped this wasn't true. Then again, looking at the silhouettes, I sort of figured they would be performing and producible anyways.

That's too bad... I hear word that Yurishii became mentally sick due to what happened to her in recent times, but if anyone knows more info about her situation, feel free to clarify what I said. I hope Azumi will do well capturing Yukiho's personality and singing voice.

Apparently, Asakura-san did such an awesome Yukiho voice the audience though it was Yurishii until her name came up on the stage screen.

While most cheered for the change, thanking Yurishii for her hard work up to now and Azumi for receiving the baton, I did read reports of some Yurishii fans storming out of the concert hall when the announcement was made.

I want to see the PV 2, as well as a sample of yukihos new VA. I think we can expect songs from the new cds to show up in IM@S 2, such as L O B M, kimi wa melody, mata ne, and The Ai, DREAM and LOST. Hopefully the 876 songs get put in too. Id love to hear them sing Alive.

Any announcements about songlists?

Actually I've been sorta curious about this as well.  I'm wondering if they're going to retire all the arcade songs and replace them with the MA songs or just DLC songs.  Which I wouldn't mind, a default songlist including My Song, Do Dai, Overmaster, etc.  isn't that bad >____> 

Nothing against the classics like Aoi Tori, First Stage, etc.  but it's been kinda overkill now.  They have a much bigger catalog of songs, it might do them good to just use a whole new songlist of sorts.  Hmmmmm would make sense if they did that and made the removed songs DLC.
