I mean, I've met more people with rage over changed Miki in SP then DS in general, IRL.
Reading the interview pretty much solidified Imas 2 position in my Imas series spectrum.
It's not quite a sequel, more like Imas EX or Imas Turbo.

People dislike the game compared to the other titles, and the idols take the hit for it.
And as far as I know, each Idolm@ster title is unrelated to another except for Idolm@ster DS which takes place after the PSP games.

I don't hate 'em, but IMHO, swift here pretty much said why there's some hate.
That, and probably because you don't play as a producer in it, hence people who enjoyed the game as playing as one didn't enjoy it the way they have used to.
