I'm quite disappointed in myself for not being able to read Japanese fluently enough to enjoy things like this ;_;

The obvious solution to this is to play more Japanese video games. ^^

... Especially if you compulsively look up every word you don't know, try translating just about anything you see in your head, speak the lines out loud, and in general run up the play times of the RPGs you play to triple digits as a result. -_-

Keep at it, though, and you'll get better.

I should do that... unfortunately it's a little difficult with iM@S when the text keep auto scrolling. Then again, I guess I could just press start. OR I could stop being lazy and just do what I should of done from the start, actually use my Japanese textbooks...

I think they're sticking with the primary colors thing (Red, Yellow, and Blue image colors) similar to what they did at the beginning of the whole SP thing XD

Still... I think Azusa's dress would of fit better ^^;

Any news on the PV2?

Aww, but videogames are such a useful technique! To be entirely honest, I probably would've never gotten the entire Japanese "alphabet" if it wasn't for iM@S ^^; Never did I memorize them faster than when I started playing videogames in Japanese.
...I can't comprehend a ton, but it also doesn't help that I studied Spanish in school while trying to memorize said Japanese...XD I've never actually studied Japanese; all of what I know is from song lyrics...or iM@S ...or anime.

Still... I think Azusa's dress would of fit better ^^;
Yeah...thinking about it, Luka would fit Azusa's dress better than Chihaya's. But we'll have to hold out until the 29th to see XDD

Similarly, I learned most of the Kanji I know from playing im@s... especially since in the instruction booklet all the kanji has the hiragana readings.

I did this several times with the Tales series, and really learned nothing much besides basic Japanese and words that I'd never need to use anyways.

I've been trying to study the language on my own, but I would prefer a classroom environment so I can have others to talk with so I can practice what I learn for the language. I can pick up words here and there, but it isn't enough to maximize gameplay for Idolm@ster. (and kanji are still but squiggly lines to me)
My own Idolm@ster fanfic project, Idolm@ster-EG.

I'd prefer a Tutor sense it would be one on one and faster to learn but yet again a classroom enviroment would be funner to practice Japanese with other people.

IMO, having a classroom environment with a moderate amount of people is the way to go when learning a foreign language.

BTW, today is Idolmaster's 5th birthday (since official arcade release.)

In my experience, they only get you so far before you just have to start translating stuff yourself, but everyone's different (and it does take a few years to get there). Still, having someone around to answer questions for you is good, especially if they really will talk to you in the language. Also, if you don't have any other option for learning a language... you'll just have to learn it yourself. It's entirely possible, even if it requires a lot of work.

And, happy birthday Im@s!

learning a new lenguage is hard in the begining, but with practice (well actually with a lot of practice) is easy to start reading, writing or even speaking in the lenguage that your are learning. but japanese leanguage is a little different i think........
