It kinda makes you wonder if they might do more in the future. Just leave idolm@ster 2 alone!

Speculation for songs that won't make it into 2:

THE IDOLM@STER - I know this is the song that defines Im@s, but got this gut feeling it's intended to be a theme song for Im@s 1, and only Im@s 1. They also performed this song twice at the 5th Live, as though to say goodbye to it.

Massugu - Again, strong ties to Im@s 1 as the ending theme.

Personal songs - Since it's a parallel world, the personal songs maybe different.

Ohh, on that note, I wonder if the idols' MA songs will be in the game. Somehow, it seems like a stretch, because they can't include them solely for one idol like they did in SP XD It probably depends on how many new songs there are in the game.

I think (and I hope) there's a chance this song is making to 2. They played the version of 'THE IDOLM@STER' sung by the new Yukiho on the last iM@S Station...

That's nice! I really wish to see this song with 5 idols.
But this one really shows how different the new Yukiho is, compared to the previous Yukiho...
I think she sings nicely, but any other comments?

Information from MAG-NET, which just finished airing on NHK BS2.

- They showed part of the second trailer! Which means it has a chance of being available online anytime now.
- Im@s 2 will have twice as much facial expressions! They showed part of it, and they have Haruka looking a little mad, then Haruka looking pissed off.
- Movements are motion captured. Was 1 like this too? Don't know.
- New algorithms to calculate character height and hand position. This finally allowed the idols to hold hands when dancing, as seen in the first trailer. All done by the determination of one woman, who wanted to let the idols hold hands.

[edit]
Wow, someone cutout the trailer part already lol: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11435306

i was watching via ustream, and it decided to cut out right as the trailer aired. i was impressed by the 誕生日会 as well as the women in charge of holding hands. I never took into consideration how much work it would be to coordinate the different idols now that there are 5 of them, especially something as small as hand positions. very impressed.

I was watching it on Ustream too, since I can't watch BS2 on my TV.

I really never got to look at the actual people inside BanNam that are developing the game, so that short section was definitely worth it.

Yes they do. There's the details, including pictures, shows in the "THE IDOLM@STER MASTER BOOK". Unfortunely, my scanner doesn't work at the moment, but I'll scan and upload the pictures later.
So all the dance in iM@S are danced by the real professional human. Actually, I really wish to see them dance in the live show, cause they would dance as good as in the game.

This technology has become the pride of iM@S, and I personally believe how the iM@S dance in group make them invincible in the world of digital concert. Truely love it.

Wow, why did I laugh at Chihaya and Miki when they jumped in to be part of the 'Unity is Strength' line.

that woman is amazing, I know algorithms take forever to create and code .____.; that and I really want her desk.
