Apparently, an impassionate American Sonic X IMAS fan (heretofore referred to as "Sonic-kun") had been pestering the creator of those well-made MADs on Twitter... and the Japanese MAD-maker was so impressed with you-know-who's passion that he decided to give it a shot. The result is that Reach for the Skies MAD.
So, the creator told Sonic-kun about the video he made... and the following exchange happened:
