Well, that depends on what game is being played. Some, like Euchre, it is. Some, like poker, the joker's a wildcard (usefulness depends on circumstances). And some, like the card game Old Maid, it's a card to be avoided.
And then there's other games where they don't need Jokers to play. Knowing the Japanese fanbase, they might throw the Jupiter-Jokers away or tear them apart before proceeding to playing said games. lol

In actuality, they don't look that bad. But knowing me (and being a really bad fan) I'll probably end up using them if people at my house and get bored and play card games or something. happened to my gundam cards before bound to happen again...
