iDOLM@STER 2!!

Magenta Galaxy:
Personally I'm really curious about the songlist. We have each character's 'signature' song confirmed, and four new playable songs (2nd Mix, Megare, The World is All One, Little Match Girl). As Smoky Thrill/Alice or Guilty are event-only I don't think they should really be counted, and that leaves us with 13 confirmed playable songs which seems a little... small? I know it's more than Arcade had, but it's a noticable even if not majorly earth-shattering drop compared to the previous game and SP.

I'm wondering if the other 9 Arcade songs are shoe-ins, as none of them have been confirmed to be signature songs or anything (all the signature songs are 360 additions or from the CDs) which makes me think they might just all be in. Otherwise I figure at least one of them would have been confirmed to be actively in, if it was selective?

Else... entirely new songs to make up the 'base' roster? Could be fun to see.

Even though Here We Go!! is my favorite song, I would trade the Arcade songs for entirely new songs.

Essentially, in the game, there's only 12 songs. Little Match Girl shouldn't count because you have to buy the limited edition in order to get a card to download it.

I wonder if the new songs even have any sort of idol attribute? (like how Haruka had Taiyou no Jealousy / Watashi wa Idol, Ami and Mami had Positive!/Go My Way!!, etc.)

Magenta Galaxy:
Actually, looking at the tracklist on Wikipedia, "my song" is also apparently on the tracklist... which seems to be the only returning song that isn't a signature song?

Weird. Still, Megare only just got confirmed so I suppose I can be a bit optimistic about expansion? D:

I still think there's some major stuff we haven't been told about. They've basically announced nothing new gameplay-wise since Jupiter (or Little Match Girl if you count that as 'new'?) so I'm willing to bet there's a few surprises waiting to be uncovered. Maybe something comparibly secret to how Awakened Miki was in the original? We'll see.

TweenDoriru:
...where did they get "my song" being in the game from? o.o I wonder.

I'm sure that they're holding out on a bit more than they're telling us with the songs. It really does seem weird for them to use less songs than normal (but then again, I suppose we're 4 idols short).

and, while news hasn't come in PV-form, they actually released quite a bit of gameplay detail. The lessons, money, the shops, Festivals and Auditions, etc.

Magenta Galaxy:
True, but that's more the mechanics of how things we already knew were going to be in the game actually worked. It's explanation rather than revealing, I guess?

I dunno, I just feel the publicity machine's been a bit lackluster this close to release. Maybe it's just a Japanese thing but personally I'd be saving a bombshell for right about this sort of time period to just nudge a few people who were unsure into making an impulse pre-order.

Also curious about the two secret achievements. I notice that there's essentially two achievements for beating the game with each idol as leader (one for using each specific idol, one with beating the game with [x] number of different idols) so that leaves the potential of one secret idol... or it could just be the standard "use every song" type of achievement and they're keeping it secret to not reveal the size of the tracklist.

~conspiracy theories~
