Oh, I can answer this one! I believe aside from price, there's an English part in the Asian versions game manual. Though most of the gameplay elements have been translated onto this topic here. If you feel like searching the pages. =P
Aside from that... uh, I don't really think there is any difference gameplay-wise.

You know, I wish there would be (I personally prefer Miki with the short brown hair, though I don't mind the afu-factor), though I doubt Awakened Miki is making her return...

Unless Miki gets her special little plot like in the first game. =P Though that's really just wishful thinking on my part. I rather like Awakened Miki and her brunette-ness.
Or maybe Awakened Miki can be unlocked through a specific combination of Unit Members! (Like Project Fairy 765 version for example)
Ah well, whatever, I'll still crush the opposition regardless. And I already have in mind with whom.
In case anyone was, curious. It's Makoto, Takane, and... uh... I guess Hibiki or Yayoi will do.
