Audition = Pay attention to what the Director says to beat 29 other idol units (XX/30 in top-right-hand corner) and be chosen for a TV appearance. (If you still haven't memorised the katakana for Vocal, Dance, and Visual, better start memorising them now). If you succeed, you refresh your "activity meter/fans' attention meter" in the areas the TV appearance is broadcasted, thus preventing your number of fans in those areas from decaying.

Live = This is the only one where you have to please the fans. It works kinda like the final concert in iMAS1. You pick a stage venue, and then hope you do well enough to make your fans call out an encore (the numerical indicator on the top-right-hand corner indicates this; they didn't reveal how exactly you're supposed to raise this number). During the encore you can choose between trio and quintet live. If you do exceptionally well, a second encore will also happen during which you're also given the option to do a solo or duo live. Costs a great deal of money to schedule, but in return if the Live concert is a success, you're renumerated with a huge number of fans and money.

Festival = You vs your rival unit. Just get a higher score than them, though keep in mind that your rivals' Burst Appeals and Memory Appeals will affect your performance negatively. If you win, you watch your own performance. Lose and you watch rival's performance. 961 FTW.

Yes! Something that shows promise of me being able to do with my limited knowledge! \o/

Though, the Festivals still have me a little concerned, considering most of the screenshots we see are of the player-unit losing to RK (with the exception of the Gemaga DVD-thing, where Numu wins XD), but if it feels anything like a standard iM@S360 audition, it should prove to be cake shortly...

Really, the main obstacle I'm seeing with iM@S2 is that thing with the sectors (I can't remember the technical name for them for the life of me, right now) of Japan and the timed answers. Why, why, why did they do that? >.<

You're talking about the geography thing, right? I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to get through that either, looks really complicated.

Btw, has anyone seen the following image? Don't know if it's real though haha:

Oh, looks like I missed this page out when checking out the updated website:

http://www.bandainamcogames.co.jp/cs/list/idolmaster/im2/system/schedule.html

Schedule
This is where you select your idol unit's activities for the week. Every activity has a time cost attached to it. Do note that you can only select a maximum of 2 activities for the week, even if the total time cost doesn't reach the cap of 3 time units.

In addition, each Audition, Live, and Festival performance also has a difficulty level attached to it. The harder the difficulty level, the higher your remuneration benefits when you succeed.

List of Activities (in the order they're displayed on the official website):
-Lesson: Attend these to increase your image points and image levels.
-Super Lesson: Costs a greater deal of money, but gives you a lesson that lasts longer than the usual type.
-National Audition: Compete with other idol units for a chance to appear on national TV.
-Area Audition: Audition for a TV performance that will be broadcasted only to a specific area (KIRBYSIM's note: it seems like in this one you don't have to compete with other idol units... we'll see)
-Trio Live: Stage a live performance and rock da house!
-Quintet Live: Make an offer to the other 765 idols and perform in a 5-person quintet live (so this is where the "Offer" field comes in).
-Festival: Enter a festival and compete with a rival unit (both units perform at separate venues) to see which can entertain their respective audiences better.
-Normal Promotion: "Promotion/PR" activities that don't cost a dime.
-Paid Promotion: "Promotion/PR" activities that cost money to promote your idol unit, but results in a greater number of fans awarded than usual.
-Shop: Where you go to buy items. Visiting the shop itself doesn't cost any money.
-Rest: Let the girls rest and recuperate. (Option available only from the Shuto/Capital area)
