I'd be heartbroken if I saw any of my idols in a scandal...they all seem like such innocent good girls.
Then again, so did all those Disney stars...
To be perfectly honest though, it would be a pretty realistic mechanic that might make gameplay interesting if they were to ever implement it in the future.

It would definitely be interesting XD Though I guess there's only so many ways you could try to control your idol to stop her from doing crazy things (maybe it would be a low tension side-effect XDD)
