Well DLC is an obvious online feature though I hope they have some sort of file share system similar to Halo's where you can post recordings of concerts you've done along with screen-shots. Though the best thing that iM@S 2 could have but probably won't as far as online goes would be some kinda feature that would let you send vids to your PC so you could edit or post em on the net.

Picup:
That lip-reading mini game will probably screw me over all the time.  I request Naomi Wakabayashi to help me everytime i have to do it ]:

I think the auditions now seem more L4U like -- it's based on rhythm and timing (and I guess a little bit of deciding which one to use and when and where like the good ol' auditions).  I think we talked about it a while back and that it probably will only be online leader boards.  Although, I kinda hope that they keep the part where you can stalk watch people's performances on the leaderboard :"D (granted that you do have the DLC song -waves fist at L4U-)

KIRBYSIM:
The new rhythm/timing-based system's pretty cool, but I'm still holding out hope for a more traditional audition battle where you have to use indicators like the judges' interest meters and their comments to tell if you're within top three for a certain appeal category.

C'mon, NBGI! Don't let awesome tactics like APPEAL BOMBING be eradicated from the face of iMAS!

TweenDoriru:
I always thought of the current auditions like a rhythm game XD Since appealing on the beat gives you extra points in whatever category you appeal...

(though, fortunately it's easy enough to do auditions without reading the judges' comments XD)

animagic4u:
I guess that's why it took so long to load the auditions in the first place.
So much going on at the same time.

the new auditions are cool looking I wonder if you'll still have wait time.
