To me, it seems more like a free-produce mode than anything. I was going to bring it up this morning, but I had to think about for a moment, because I couldn't remember if they had backstage stuff in Free Produce mode (at least in SP).
And I think that twin is Mami.

When you're doing auditions they have backstage stuff in SP Free Produce, yes XD All throughout SP, though (Story and Free Produce), that's all of the backstage stuff, really. Winning an audition goes straight to the stage.
(I think in the 360 game, it would go to your idol backstage and it would ask if you wanted to manually appeal or not...)
And yeah, now that I look at her, the front of her hair gives it away.

Ya know, I have a very simple solution to the whole "Male idols replacing female idols" problem, though I'm sure it's been said many times before.
Why not make an "Im@s girl's side" or something, like Da Capo and Tokimeki Memorial did? Just put Jupiter, Ryo as the resident trap, and a few more male idols in it and they'd be set, and they can leave the rest of the idols in im@s 2. Everyone's happy. :D
But, I'm sure Namco is too cheap to do something like that.

Seriously, unless it's out of BNGI's mouth, my expectations aren't changing. There are too many possibilities, and speculate as I might want to, I'll admit there's very little to go on. I mean, no matter what's been said and done, all they gotta do to get rid of most of the negative opinions on Im@s2 is say one thing, and they haven't. Maybe this is all part of a master plan to announce them as DLC or something, planned from the start. I don't know. Release day will creep closer, then we'll know.
And Im@s Girls Side? I get the feeling a lot of people've been saying that too.

Yeah, I guess there's that...
Somehow NBGI doesn't seem like they only want to please. After all, if they wanted the negative opinions that sprouted to go away, there wouldn't be a shred of evidence that 961's Jupiter ever was, either. Then people could stop blaming Jupiter for RK, too.
I still feel there'll be a Free Produce or something similar. I know they did similar with Miki for SP, but this is a full console game. And that was 1 idol vs. 4.
