iDOLM@STER 2!!
Neruibara:
Well, this talk of an idol with a changing hairstyle has given me an idea. How about putting yourself in as a produceable idol? The scenario I can imagine is simple enough. You enter into 765 and get interviewed by Kotori. You answer questions and things. These questions determine the personality of the custom idol you are creating. You choose your appearance.When you are done, Kotori thanks you and you leave. It all ends by you getting a call from Takagi=shachou congratulating you. You have been selected as an idol. You just need to wait for your producer to be assigned. Then you can produce yourself.

I still say, give us our Fat Otaku idol :D
A girl that loves anime and manga and despises sports. She is overweight and thus feels shunned by society. Singing along with her favourite anime has given her a good vocal stat but her Dance is low due to her dislike for sports and her Visual is even worse. She was found walking home from Akibara ( that's the anime place if I recall... ) singing an anime song and her voice was so liked that she was picked up.
Includes an alternate story path ( similar to Miki ) where an event causes her to change from an ugly duckling into a Beautiful Swan :)
I picture her to look something like the girl out of 'Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo!!'

@Neruibara
THAT would be fun. I am a person who loves custom character-makers and that'd be awesome to make an idol~~ Though, the issue with that is the voice. XD Though I guess they could have several 'custom-idol' template voices...
@swiftnissity
It'd be a storyline, alright, but I don't think Fat Otaku idol would make it to an 'alternate story path' XDD Somehow I don't think she'd sell so well being overweight :(
...at least, I've never seen it. XD

... Ya know, there's just been this thing in the back of my mind during all this...
When game 1 is a hit, a safe bet for game 2 is more of the same, with some modifications, and if keeping the same characters, they're developed more. Like, Im@s2 with 765 + former 961 (+ 876 maybe), but the promo events are all more character oriented. Like, being able to interact with Yayoi's siblings (with CVs for them), talking with Azusa's mom, or... hiding from Yukiho's dad. You could even toss in, like, two promo events where one of your idols interacts with another you're producing (or not producing) at the time. Change the auditions and lessons to keep things fresh if you want, give everyone a new look if you want, but you don't really need to go as far as they seem to be going. Im@sSP with 961 idols and your option of duos or trios with more personal communications would honestly have been fine... I think (^^;). When you get right down to it, all the people who wanted to produce someone from Ryuuguu in an improved Im@s... are now left wondering whether they'll ever get that game.
When you get to the third game in the series, that's the point I think you need to change, or stay forever the same. This could mean a new cast, or just radically new gameplay changes. Or, radical changes of any type, like what we're seeing here.
... Just something I've been pondering. I dunno, really... I'll be honest when I say they're just random thoughts.
