No one. They've been hired strictly to make fans. Not to date those silly idols.
I suppose this is something both sides can agree on
Except for me, who is a huge shipper of sorts.
Stay away from Yukiho XD

I find everybody's different opinions about Ryuuguu Komachi and Jupiter interesting to read through. Guess I'll give mine too.

I like this whole idea with Ryuuguu Komachi! Sure, it sucks you can't produce the girls in an idol unit straight off the bat, but overall I like how they've added rivals you once probably produced yourself. And besides, Namco Bandai has proved to be quite money-grabbing in the past and present, so you can bet they'd probably bring them back for full production via extremely expensive DLC. Sucks, but hey. They'll probably do it like that.

I can't help but laugh at the rage over Jupiter with some people. Dude, they've added the opposite gender to the game, big freaking whoop. If you don't wanna see them perform, don't let them kick your ass in Festas. If you think they're going to woo your girls, stop being paranoid. Seriously now. There is a cold hard truth for all the otakus out there: NOBODY IN IM@S ACTUALLY EXISTS. YOU CAN'T CLAIM THEM AS YOUR IRL GIRLFRIEND OR SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT.~_~;

But other than that nice rant there, I think Jupiter is an interesting addition to Im@s. They're fresh new characters right out of the cookie oven, so to speak, and that's something this game really needs. Speaking of which, we need some new female idols too. Total redesigns ( that are done well ) are awesome and all, but is one new girl we haven't seen ever before too much to ask for?

I'll stop there for now. xD

Trying saying that to a <insert idol name here> fanboy's face.
The reaction should be quite interesting.

I'd rather not, I'd probably be mauled for my 'insolence.'

You should watch out, man. Those otaku'll getcha o_o; I'm sure they can sense these incredibly harsh and untrue words from their side of the internets. ;)

That being said, I hope for your safety, sir. XD

Indeed, those otaku have got a sixth sense when it comes to something they love. I should be fine though, just hand them some sort of limited edition Im@s product or something and they'll be distracted long enough for me to go into hiding.

To get back on topic, if they DID add one new idol, exactly what archetype would NBGI be able to use? After all, almost all the im@s characters can be traced back to a form of anime stereotype one way or another.

Speaking of which... Hey Himoto, c'mere, I wanna show you something. >:~)
I also don't see the big deal with the rage over a couple of things in Im@s 2. Yukiho's new CV was unavoidable, since her old one had to step out of the whole CV business. Getting mad over how a character sounds is rather stupid... Unless the CV was terrible, in which case, it may be justifiable.
And with Jupiter, male idols I think are something fresh and new to the series. It seems to me fans are afraid of the guys getting with their favourite idol. I certainly wouldn't like Azusa being approached by one of them, but I'm not going to get mad over them just being in the game as a rival unit..
I do understand the pain of losing the ability to produce four of the idols, especially when two of them are quite popular. But they are still on your side as a friendly rival unit. You are even allowed to have a Ryuugu member in your group as a guest, so all isn't lost.

Anyways, that's how I'm feeling so far about the Im@s 2 hating. Sadly, this won't do much to stop people jumping over to the Dream Club fanbase...

As for that last question, a hikkikomori would be nice, but Eri from DS already filled that role, and sadly it would seem that the chances of and of the Dearly Stars characters being in Im@s 2 is slim... :(

Oh shi-- Want an Azusa figurine?

Lol yeah, the hikkikomori archetype has been taken unfortunately. Although... what would a yandere idol be like? o_o;

I like Yukiho's new CV, I don't understand the hate. But I'm on the minority for this topic, so ehh. Yukiho has never been a stand-out idol for me anyway. She's not affiliated with 961 for a reason, people.

I am a Takane fan and I all for a relationship between her and her former production's new male idols, an olive branch I may say. Let them be "happily" in love and bear many tabloid magazine articles and children and hope they have a fruitful 1-2 years of marraige

Guess I am a shipper type

Same here, I already am fascinated at what will happen between Jupiter/765 XD;; I myself prefer Takane (or Azusa) with Hokuto; but when I suggested that in the Jupiter thread; not the greatest reactions :"D;;

And pretty much on the topic at hand; Namco probably can handle the heat <_<; although; who knows what they will do -- maybe there's still more plot twists to be had? someones dying of an incurable disease!

I'm a bit in different towards the CV change; probably because I'm in different to Yukiho myself ._.;

In that case, they should have her despise Jupiter and always say that she used to be 'YUKIHO'S NUMBA 1 FANZORZ', but directly afterwards claim 'she's changed, and not for the better'. Oh, and she should also be upset with the fact that she can't work together with any Ryuuguu Komachi idols. Why would I find that extremely ironic...?

/sarcasm off

But in all seriousness, if they did add an otaku girl that could make for some awfully amusing events with the character.

They could use an actual kuudere-type. Also, it may not sound so serious, but a hot-blooded idol too. XD

Ohh man XDD Let's see, an otaku that can accept some changes to stick with a series she loves. Better? |3

I do think it could result in some funny scenarios, and...well, I think a lot of players could like her. XD Though that might be bad with Jupiter in the equation, it might make them grow more dislike for them :s
