iDOLM@STER 2!!

Well I think in order to play this game you'll have to have a clear and open mind to the characters as if you've never seen them before.
Maybe that's why they're purposely killing off their fanbase so they can have a fresh start. (For whatever reason)

Also, like in the upcoming release of Portal 2, the writers probably wanted to kill some things they didn't like (In Portal they are killing the cake meme which they much dislike).

TweenDoriru:
I think the only character you'd really need an open mind for is Yukiho, as her voice is a little different. It seems like the other characters (personality-wise) stayed mostly the same.

I just think it's a little ridiculous that fans make it seem like everything is wrong with iM@S2. Yukiho's voice actor is different. We have a rival in the same production company. There are male idols.

NBGI hasn't done anything to suggest that Jupiter will immediately swarm into your office and start seducing your idol. Fans did that, but it's to be expected because fans can ship anything that comes in quantities of more than 1.

Yukiho's new voice can't be helped; Yurishii quit. And they're doing the best that they can given the fact that they had to give Yukiho a new voice...it's better than her being out of the game because of the aforementioned fact.
edit: I know Yukiho is different now; there's nothing wrong with still loving the old Yukiho. But you can either keep with her now, or choose a new favorite. She'll exist as she always did in the old games, but she has to be changed for the new one. There isn't another way unless they remove her entirely.

A friend of mine came up with the idea that Ryuuguu Komachi exists because of the new commu system; as with 9 idols, there's a possibility of 84 different trio combinations, which would all branch into, without a doubt, specific responses and such with different trios. Add the 4 idols removed; then there's 286 possible. That'd be a lot of work for the CVs.

Lushe:
I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad that we finally have male idols. That way, girls can join in on the fun too, and Idolm@ster will no longer be branded by outsiders as "that game where you molest underage female idols," lol.

Raestloz:
@TweenDoriru
Seiyuus are the actual life of any voiced characters. Different seiyuu = different person, no matter what happened

It can't be helped, yes, but the other stuffs made it worse.

@Lushe: it doesn't make it easier to explain this game to those who don't understand, the core is still the same. I find it hard to answer when people ask "What music are you listening to? What is the band? I've never heard about it, what is it?" to me.

Also, the ratio of fanboys : fangirls in japan is not good. There are more existing fanboys than untapped fangirls.

Lastly, I don't like the new Chihaya, her head is just too round

Lushe:
Well, out of all the "negative" things about im@s2, only one really upsets me: the fact that Ritsuko, Azusa, Iori, and Mami (or was it Ami? I'm not sure) are now rivals.

Other than that, I'm fine with Jupiter and Yukiho's new VA.
